Kielitietoisuusvalmennukset ammatillisessa koulutuksessa – KIELO-hankkeen kokemuksia
2020
Opetushallituksen rahoittama KIELO – kielitietoinen ohjaus ammatillisessa koulutuksessa ja työelämässä -hanke on kukoistanut jo yli puolitoista vuotta. Hankkeeseen osallistuvat Aikuiskoulutus Taitaja, Business College Helsinki, Careeria, Haaga-Helia Ammatillinen opettajakorkeakoulu ja Luksia, Länsi-Uudenmaan koulutuskuntayhtymä. Hankkeen alkuvaiheessa noin vuosi sitten Kieli, koulutus ja yhteiskunta -verkkolehdessä julkaistiin Tuija Arolan ja Marianne Sepän artikkeli kielitietoisuudesta ammatillisessa koulutuksessa. Nyt kerromme, mitä tuloksia hankkeessa on saatu aikaan ja annamme suosituksia tulevaisuuden kehittämistyöhön liittyen kielitietoisuuteen ammatillisessa koulutuksessa. publishedV…
Kielitietoisella ohjauksella vauhtia ammattikielen oppimiseen
2019
Culinary List Form in the Experimental Poetry of 1960s Finland: Literary Menus and Recipes
2022
AbstractThis chapter investigates the close relationship between the list form and experimental writing, and the poetic and literary usage of the form in the ideologically countercultural experimental setting of the 1960s. The focus is on Finnish literature of the decade and texts that utilize the culinary forms of recipe and menu, both of which are essentially based on listing. The texts examined, thus, combine two traditions: the history of food listings in literature, and the fondness for the list form in experimental and avant-garde traditions. The article begins by considering the recurring position of lists in the experimental writing of the 1960s. Lists are compared to other formal r…
Control of Bactrocera oleae and Ceratitis capitata in Organic Orchards: Use of Clays and Copper Products.
2010
Tests on the effect of clays (kaolin and bentonite) and copper products (hydroxide and oxychloride) in the control of olive fruit fly, Bactrocera oleae (Rossi), and Mediterranean fruit fly, Ceratitis capitata (Wiedemann), were carried out from 2003 to 2006 in olive groves and in organic citrus orchards (satsuma, clementine, ‘Navelina’ orange). Results demonstrate an efficacy of kaolin products in reducing attacks of B. oleae on olives and those of C. capitata on citrus fruits; in olive groves the clays gave similar or better results than copper hydroxide. Bentonite AG/8W showed a significant reduction in punctures by C. capitata. Bentonite products and BPLK kaolin are washed off by rainfall…
Searches for lepton number violating $K^+$ decays
2019
The NA62 experiment at CERN reports a search for the lepton number violating decays K+ -> pi(-)e(+)e(+) and K+ -> pi(-)mu(+)mu(+) using a data sample collected in 2017. No signals are observed, and upper limits on the branching fractions of these decays of 2.2 x 10(-10) and 4.2 x 10(-11) are obtained, respectively, at 90% confidence level. These upper limits improve on previously reported measurements by factors of 3 and 2, respectively.
Neptunium(V) sorption on kaolinite
2011
Abstract The sorption behavior of neptunium(V) onto the clay mineral kaolinite was studied in batch experiments under different experimental conditions: [Np(V)]=7 × 10−12–8 × 10−6 M, solid-to-liquid ratio 2–20 g L−1, I=0.1 and 0.01 M NaClO4, pH=6–10, ambient air and Ar atmosphere. The short-lived isotope 239Np (T 1/2=2.36 d) was used instead of 237Np (T 1/2=2.14 × 106 a) to study the sorption behavior of Np(V) at environmentally-relevant concentrations, i.e., 7 × 1012 M Np. In addition, 239Np(V) served as tracer to measure sorption isotherms over six orders of magnitude in Np concentration (4.8 × 10−12–1.0 × 10−4 M). The results show that Np(V) sorption on kaolinite is strongly influenced b…
Studies of the ternary systems humic substances – kaolinite – Pu(III) and Pu(IV)
2008
AbstractThe behaviour of plutonium with respect to its migration in the aquifer has been studied under conditions close to nature. Most relevant under these conditions are Pu(III) and Pu(IV) in contact with humic substances (HS) and minerals. As a model for the host rock, kaolinite (KGa-1b) was chosen. The complexation of Pu(III) and Pu(IV) with Aldrich humic acid (AHA) in aqueous solution at ionic strength 0.1 M was investigated by the ultrafiltration method. The sorption of Pu(III) and Am(III) onto kaolinite (K) as a function of pH and metal-ion concentration was studied under aerobic and anaerobic conditions. The pH edge was found at pH∼5.5 independent of the metal-ion concentration and …
Effect of climate and vegetation on soil organic carbon, humus fractions, allophanes, imogolite, kaolinite, and oxyhydroxides in volcanic soils of Et…
2007
A soil sequence along an elevational gradient ranging from subtropical to subalpine climate zones in the Etna region (Sicily, southern Italy) was investigated with respect to organic C, kaolinite, and crystalline to noncrystalline Al and Fe phases. Special emphasis was given to the stabilization of soil organic carbon (SOC) and its interaction with the inorganic phases. The soils were variations of Vitric Andosols that developed on a trachy-basaltic lava flow with an age of 15,000 years. Two main vegetation systems dominated the sites: at the lower sites, it was mainly maquis vegetation and, at the higher elevated sites, predominantly coniferous forest. The concentration of SOC in the topso…
The influence of weathering processes on labile and stable organic matter in Mediterranean volcanic soils
2008
The relationship and mechanisms among weathering processes, cation fluxes, clay mineralogy, organic matter composition and stability were studied in soils developing on basaltic material in southern Italy (Sicily). The soils were transitions between Phaeozems and Vertisols. Intense losses of the elements Na, Ca and Mg were measured indicating that weathering has occurred over a long period of time. The main weathering processes followed the sequence: amphibole, mica, volcanic glass or if ash was the primary source→smectite→interstratified smectite–kaolinite→kaolinite. Kaolinite formation was strongly related to high Al, Mg and Na losses. The good correlation between oxyhydroxides and kaolin…
