Celem badań było określenie wpływu działalności człowieka na powstawanie gleb w rejonie ujęcia Przekopu Wisły. Szczegółowe badania przeprowadzono na obszarze testowym (około 500 ha), dla którego została wykonana mapa gleb. Wydzielono trzy główne pasy grupujące gleby wytworzone z osadów morskich, eolicznych i technogenicznych, naturalnie i antropogenicznie zdeponowanych w wyniku regulacji hydrotechnicznych. ESBL-producing Klebsiella pneumoniae in a University hospital: Molecular features, diffusion of epidemic clones and evaluation of cross-transmission.

The worldwide spread of Klebsiella pneumoniae producing extended-spectrum β-lactamase (ESBL-Kp) is a significant threat. Specifically, various pandemic clones of ESBL-Kp are involved in hospital outbreaks and caused serious infections. In that context, we assessed the phenotypic and molecular features of a collection of ESBL-Kp isolates in a French university hospital and evaluated the occurrence of potential cross-transmissions. Over a 2-year period (2017–2018), 204 non-duplicate isolates of ESBL-Kp were isolated from clinical (n = 118, 57.8%) or screening (n = 86, 42.2%) sample cultures. Powstały w 2019 r. portal internetowy „Powstańcy Śląscy” to zbiór tematyczny oparty na archiwaliach Archiwum Państwowego w Opolu, Archiwum Państwowego w Katowicach oraz Narodowego Archiwum Cyfrowego. Przygotowany z okazji stulecia powstań śląskich stał się już rozpoznawalnym elementem w edukacji regionalnej.

The article presents a piece of work of an excellent director of Polish theatre, Jerzy Jarocki, who was able to connect literature and historiosophy of writers whose plays were shown on a stage. He was deeply interested in the history of Russia; furthermore, he studied works of Witkacy and Sławomir Mrożek. The mentioned artists were also fascinated in eventful history of Russia. One of the last plays of Mrożek was "Love in the Crimea” which can be interpreted as a historiosophical allegory depicting history of Russian culture from the end of the Tsarist Age, through Stalinism, to capitalism. Abstract This work presents a performance analysis of a waste-heat-to-power Reverse Electrodialysis Heat Engine (RED-HE) with a Multi-Effect Distillation (MED) unit as the regeneration stage. The performance of the system is comparatively evaluated using two different salts, sodium chloride and potassium acetate, and investigating the impact of different working solutions concentration and temperature in the RED unit. Extremely fast Holocene coastal landscape evolution in the Kachchh Upland (NW India): Clues from a multidisciplinary review

The coastal landscape of the Kachchh Upland (KU) region (NW-India) changed over the last few thousand years from a shallow marine gulf to a salty desert (1-4 meters asl). In this area, bordered to the south by the Northern Hill Range (NHR), the tectonic-climatic interaction triggered the sea level fall from +2/4 m circa (6000-2000 BP) to zero. An ancient river pattern deposited a tidally regulated delta area during the sea level fall that stopped 2000-3000 years ago due to tectonic activity and a dry climate. Londyn od 1940 r. był politycznym centrum polskiego wychodźstwa. Tu mieli swoją siedzibę prezydent i rząd na uchodźstwie. Mimo fizycznego oddalenia emigracja niepodległościowa żyła sprawami kraju. Zmiany polityczne w Polsce na przełomie lat osiemdziesiątych i dziewięćdziesiątych XX w. nie tylko przyniosły koniec epoki PRL, lecz także dopełniły misji powojennej emigracji politycznej. Dla wychodźstwa wolna i niepodległa Polska była celem i sensem działania. To, co dla wielu w kraju przez dziesięciolecia wydawało się nierealne, wręcz szalone, dla emigrantów było spełnieniem podstawowych postulatów.
