Enhancing the Iterative Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics Method

Motivated by recent research on the iterative approach proposed for the smoothed particle hydrodynamics (ISPH) method, some ideas to improve the process are introduced. The standard procedure is enhanced iterating on the residuals preserving the matrix-free nature of the process. The method is appealing providing reasonable results with disordered data distribution too and no kernel variations are needed in the approximation. This work moves forward with a novel formulation requiring a lower number of iterations to reach a desired accuracy. The computational procedure is described and some results are introduced to appreciate the proposed formulation.

The COVID-19 pandemic worldwide evidenced the need to revise and strengthen the current perspective of the role of technology in non-technology-based classes. The current situation requires the revision of practices and basic knowledge of computer literacy and use. Traditionally, technology in the process of language learning has been considered anecdotical. As a result, many teachers do not have the necessary skills to implement proper technology-supported classes. Pētījuma tēma ir par resursiem sociālajā darbā ar vardarbībā cietušajiem bērniem ģimenē koronavīrusa pandēmijas laikā. Pētījuma mērķis ir pētīt pieejamos resursus sociālajā darbā ar vardarbībā cietušiem bērniem ģimenēs koronavīrusa pandēmijas laikā. Pētījumā izmantota kvalitatīvā pētniecības metode, daļēji strukturētā intervija ar sociālajiem darbiniekiem. Iegūtie dati atklāj, kāda ir pandēmijas loma uz sociālo darbu, un kādi resursi ir pieejami novadā darbam ar bērniem kuri cietuši no vardarbības koronavīrusa pandēmijas laikā. Pētījuma rezultāti atklāj, ka pandēmijai ir liela loma attiecībā uz sociālo darbu ikdienā un resursu pieejamībā.

The article continues the discussion about the identity and history of the Polish social services. In particular, it addresses the genesis and beginnings of the formation of the educational system of social workers. The memory about the beginnings is an indispensable element of thinking about the future in the present. Coming up with solutions for the future without respect for the achievements of the past creates a risk of committing errors of the past generations. W swojej codziennej pracy pracownicy socjalni doświadczają dylematów etycznych związanych z bezpośrednią praktyką zawodową. Dotyczą one m.in. takich zagadnień, jak: niepewność co do słuszności dokonywanych wyborów, konieczność wybierania między działaniem skutecznym a działaniem zgodnym z przepisami czy podejmowaniem działań wbrew oczekiwaniom i woli klienta. Czym się kierować: czy pozostać w zgodzie z własnym sumieniem, dostosować się do przepisów, pozostając w konflikcie z samym sobą, czy może częściowo dostosować system własnych wartości do przepisów, naginając je do własnego sumienia?

W artykule poruszono kwestie dotyczące stosowania przemocy wobec osób starszych. Zjawisko to staje się jednym z głównych problemów społecznych, z którymi muszą zmierzyć się m.in. pracownicy socjalni oraz specjaliści z zakresu pedagogiki (w tym gerontopedagogiki), socjologii, a także przedstawiciele służb pomocowych. Jak wynika z analizy danych statystycznych oraz wyników badań naukowych, skala stosowania przemocy stale się pogłębia. W opracowaniu zaprezentowano przegląd badań dotyczących skali i determinantów stosowania przemocy wobec seniorów oraz koncepcje wycofania moralnego jako jednego z czynników wywołujących zachowania przemocowe.

In south-eastern France, the récent Bell-Beaker culture is marked by the presence of a regional Rhône-Provence group having complex relationships with other régional Bell-Beaker and regional final Neolithic groups. The analysis from a spatial point of view and at different levels (cultural space, territory, land) leads to a better knowledge of prehistoric geography and also to raises other questions, such as chronology, history of populations and socio-economic models.
