Tutkimus tarkastelee Helsingin Sanomissa vuosien 2008 ja 2013 välillä julkaistuja työttömien mielipidekirjoituksia. Tutkimustehtävänä on ymmärtää millaisia sosiokulttuurisia merkityksiä ja arvoja työlle ja työttömyydelle annetaan. Keskeisinä tutkimuskäsitteinä toimivat työ ja työttömyys, jotka määritellään laajasti aiempaa tutkimuskirjallisuutta hyödyntäen. Tutkimuksen metodologia pohjaa diskurssianalyysiin. Diskurssianalyysin avulla luokittelen tutkimusaineiston diskursseiksi, joita tarkastelen tutkimuksen analyysivaiheessa. Vuoden 2010 alussa toteutettu Suomen yliopistokenttää ravistellut yliopistouudistus aiheutti aikanaan kiivasta keskustelua. Yhtäältä uudistusta puolustettiin vetoamalla yliopistojen autonomian lisääntymiseen ja kilpailukyvyn parantumiseen, toisaalta uudistus nähtiin yliopistodemokratian horjuttamisena ja keskitetyn ylhäältä alaspäin suuntautuvan top-down-hallinnon lisääntymisenä. Poggio Bracciolini’s last work, the Historiae Florentini populi, was edited and dedicated to Federico di Montefeltro by Jacopo di Poggio in 1472. Jacopo also translated the work into the volgare and had it printed in Venice in 1476. In the light of the manuscript tradition, Jacopo’s editorial changes were more considerable than has hitherto been thought. The propagation of his edition and translation would seem to be intimately connected with his political aspirations ending in his unfortunate participation in the Pazzi conspiracy of 1478. peerReviewed

We used the three latest rounds of the religion module of International Social Survey Programme to study secularization in Denmark, Norway, and Sweden, focusing on belief in God. We restricted our sample to the affiliated with the majority Protestant churches and the unaffiliated and analyzed the trends toward disaffiliation and disbelief in God. Then, we studied the association between confidence in churches, religious/secular upbringing, and demographic controls with belief in God using multinomial logistic regression models. The question in this article is how citizenship is reinvented and recontextualized in a newly founded European Union after the launching of Union Citizenship. What kind of conceptions of citizenship are produced in this new and evolving organization? The research material consists of documents presented by EU organs from 1994 to 2007 concerning eight EU programs on citizenship and culture.
