Pro gradu -työssäni tutkin lehden työprosesseja ja lehtikonseptissa ilmeneviä ongelmia ja analysoin, millaisiin journalistisessa työssä ja journalismissa tapahtuneisiin muutoksiin ne kytkeytyvät. Tutkimuskohteenani on erään järjestölehden kehittämishanke ja lehtikonseptiuudistus. Aineisto on peräisin Taideteollisen korkeakoulun tutkimus- ja kehittämishankkeesta, joka järjestettiin järjestölehdessä vuosina 2008–2009. Lehden levikki oli ollut jo usean vuoden ajan laskussa, joten lehtikonsepti päätettiin uudistaa. The common duck mussel Anodonta anatina can live in sympatry with—and use the same host, brown trout (Salmo trutta)—as the endangered freshwater pearl mussel Margaritifera margaritifera. Since the glochidia release of A. anatina takes place seasonally earlier than that of M. margaritifera, brown trout can be sequentially exposed first to A. anatina and then to M. margaritifera. Cross-immunity, an immune reaction induced in fish host against glochidia after the infection with glochidia of another mussel species, is possible. The dissertation is concerned with the speeches of Vihtori Kosola (1884–1936), recruiter of jäger, strike breaker and activist. Kosola assumed the leadership of the Lapua Movement in 1929. His most significant speeches were delivered on the peasants’ march of 7 July 1930 and on the 15th anniversary of the war of independence on 16 May 1933. Kosola was a political speaker and the figurehead of the Patriotic people’s movement (IKL) founded in 1932. The Study focuses on Kosola’s speeches applying rhetorical-semantic concept analysis with regard to the changes occurring in the main concepts. Thinking the Political with Jean-Luc Nancy

In this article, I argue that at the center of Jean-Luc Nancy’s approach to the political lies the thinking of subject as that of relation. Throughout the historical actualizations of, for example, the individual, the state, or the people as a subject, the problematic of relation is one that has retreated and now demands to be subjected to a retreatment. When the arche-teleological presuppositions that constitute subject as that which is given enter the phase of deconstruction, subject comes to present itself as nothing but the activity of relating itself to itself. Maģistra darba “Karjeras vadība vispārizglītojošo skolu 8.-9. klašu skolēnu profesionālās pašnoteikšanās veicināšanai” mērķis ir noteikt, kā karjeras vadība uzlabos skolēnu profesionālo pašnoteikšanos. Maģistra darba pētījuma jautājums - veiksmīga karjeras izglītība veicina skolēnu pašnoteikšanos. Darba teorētisko daļu veido literatūras avotu analīze par karjeras izglītības vadību, izpēti, analīzi un rezultātiem. Praktiski pētnieciskajā daļā tika izpētīti karjeras izglītības veicināšanu ietekmējošo faktoru attīstīšana. The process of the carnivalization of urban space is aided by contemporary media, which, in popularizing myriad events, amplifies community activities ranging from festivals to mass public shows connected with historical events. Contemporary fascination with such phenomena finds its sources in ritualized models of para- theatrical activity rooted in the traditions of peasant culture, as well as in forms of mass folk protest. As a result, we can observe the rapidly-developing ability of city-dwellers to occupy public space while creating emotional communities that extend into virtual, and other, realms, with the aim of realizing political goals.
Latvijas Republikas karogs kā konstitucionāla vērtība

Latvijai ir īpaši nozīmīgi saprast un skaidrot, kas ir valsts konstitucionālās vērtības, lai, saskaroties ar arvien pieaugošo multikulturālismu, netiktu pazaudētas, aizmirstas un atstātas novārtā vērtības, kuras ir bijušas pamats tam, lai Latvija kļūtu par neatkarīgu valsti. Viena no vērtībām, kura tiek vismazāk skaidrota ir valsts karogs. Nebūdami skaidrībā par savas nācijas un savas valsts identitāti nav iespējams mērķtiecīgi virzīties uz priekšu un pieņemt lēmumus, kas pozitīvi veidotu nākotni. Pētījuma mērķis ir pievērst uzmanību sarkanbaltsarkanā karoga vēsturei, karoga kā valsts simbola statusam, valsts karoga normatīvajam regulējumam un tiesu praksei, kas skar Latvijas valsts karogu.
Kontaktlēcu uzglabāšanas konteineru mikroflora

Maģistra darbs ir uzrakstīts latviešu valodā, tā apjoms – 41 lappuse. Mērķis: izpētīt, kā kontaktlēcu konteinera veids, glabāšanas vieta, pozīcija un lietošanas ilgums ietekmē mikrobiālā piesārņojuma rašanās risku. Uzdevumi: pārbaudīt kontaktlēcu konteineru mikrofloru pēc glabāšanas dažādās vietās, pozīcijās un pēc dažāda lietošanas ilguma. Noteikt konteineru iekšējo sieniņu dizaina ietekmi uz mikrobiālo piesārņojumu. Secinājumi: glabājot kontaktlēcu konteineru ar atvērto pusi uz leju, telpās ar zemāku mitruma pakāpi būtiski samazinās mikrobiālā piesārņojuma līmenis.
