Ocean warming is altering the biogeographical distribution of marine organisms. In the tropics, rising sea surface temperatures are restructuring coral reef communities with sensitive species being lost. At the biogeographical divide between temperate and tropical communities, warming is causing macroalgal forest loss and the spread of tropical corals, fishes and other species, termed “tropicalization”. Vuonna 2016 käyttöön otetuissa perusopetuksen opetussuunnitelman perusteissa osa B1-oppimäärän ruotsin kielen opetuksesta siirtyi yläluokilta alaluokille. Toisen kotimaisen kielen, ruotsin, keskipitkän oppimäärän opiskelu aloitetaan nykyisin jo kuudennella vuosiluokalla. Tämän muutoksen osana myös luokanopettajien opetustehtäviin tuli mukaan ruotsin kielen opettaminen. Ruotsin kieltä voi siis opiskelun alkaessa opettaa alaluokilla sekä luokanopettaja että ruotsin kielen aineenopettaja. Myös kielikylpykoulutuksen koulutusohjelman suorittanut opettaja on kelpoinen opettamaan ruotsin kieltä. Depletion of coastal predatory fish sub-stocks coincided with the largest sea urchin grazing event observed in the NE Atlantic

AbstractIn this contribution, we propose fishery driven predator release as the cause for the largest grazing event ever observed in the NE Atlantic. Based on the evolving appreciation of limits to population connectivity, published and previously unpublished data, we discuss whether overfishing caused a grazer bloom of the sea urchin (Strongylocentrotus droebachiensis) resulting in overgrazing of more than 2000 km2 kelp (Laminaria hyperborea) forest along Norwegian and Russian coasts during the 1970 s. Esiteltävässä tutkimuksessa tarkasteltiin tukijärjestelyjen toimivuutta perusopetuksessa rehtorien (N = 335) arvioimana. Aineisto kerättiin kyselylomakkeella syksyllä 2012. Rehtoreiden arvioita tukijärjestelyjen toimivuudesta selitti eniten se, millaisia tukijärjestelyjen arvioitiin olleen ennen lakiuudistusta. Käsittelen tutkielmassa musiikinopettajan kompetenssia ja siihen liittyviä käsitteitä. Kompetenssilla tarkoitetaan kelpoisuutta ja se on iso osa työntekijän ammattitaitoa. Tarkoitukseni on selvittää, mitä musiikinopettajan kompetenssi oikeasti tarkoittaa, mitä kaikkea se käsittää ja mikä kaikki siihen liittyy. Lisäksi tarkastelen, miten Jyväskylän yliopiston musiikkikasvatuksen koulutuksen opetussuunnitelma palvelee musiikinopettajan kompetenssia ja kelpoisuus käsityksiä. The morpho-functional patterns of photosynthesis, measured as 14C-fixation and chl fluorescence of PSII, also as affected by different doses of UV radiation in the laboratory were examined in the South Pacific kelp Lessonia nigrescens Bory of the coast of Valdivia, Chile (40°S). The results indicated the existence of longitudinal thallus profiles in physiological performance. In general, blades exhibited higher rates of carbon fixation and pigmentation as compared with stipes and holdfasts. Ecologically dominant species often define ecosystem states, but as human disturbances intensify, their subordinate counterparts increasingly displace them. We consider the duality of disturbance by examining how environmental drivers can simultaneously act as a stressor to dominant species and as a resource to subordinates. Using a model ecosystem, we demonstrate that CO2-driven interactions between species can account for such reversals in dominance; i.e., the displacement of dominants (kelp forests) by subordinates (turf algae). We established that CO2 enrichment had a direct positive effect on productivity of turfs, but a negligible effect on kelp. CO2 enrichment further suppressed the …
