The seven articles in this special issue represent a wide range of international comparative and review studies by international research teams from China, Germany, India, Russia, Switzerland and Mexico. The presented projects are part of the national program "Research on the Internationalisation of Vocational Education and Training", funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). Adapting to a Global Health Challenge: Managing Antimicrobial Resistance in the Nordics

This article explores the adaptation of Norway and Sweden to one of the major challenges to global public health, antimicrobial resistance (AMR). Guided by assumptions derived from institutional theory, the article investigates whether, and, if so, how the AMR problem has affected the two Nordic countries’ administrative systems and frameworks for Nordic cooperation. The article builds on selected literature, expert interviews, and public documents. The findings suggest that the international impact on Norway and Sweden’s managerial adaptation to AMR is limited. Un certain nombre de coopérations s’établissent plus ou moins spontanément de part et d’autre de la frontière franco-suisse dans l’Arc jurassien. En général de petite taille, visibles ou non aux échelles locales, elles présentent, selon nous, un grand intérêt dans le cadre de la mise en place d’un sentiment communautaire dans l’Arc jurassien. En effet, le devenir de cet espace transfrontalier doit s’ancrer dans le partage des valeurs des deux pays frontaliers afin d’endiguer les risques de repli identitaire.
