Aim of the present work is to contribute to the knowledge about the interaction between the flow induced by wave and the aquatic vegetation. More in details the results of preliminary tests of an experimental laboratory investigation about the response of a Posidonia Oceanica meadow to wave motion in shallow waters is reported. Experimental test on a fuel cell powered brushless synchronous motor for automotive applications

In this paper, a fuel cell powered motor emulator is proposed. The MATLAB/Simulink model including the fuel cell stack, the motor and drive models is described. The Urban Driving Cycle test is performed in MATLAB environment. Effective operating conditions of the whole fuel cell powered motor are accurately emulated according to actual regulations in force. The emulated current profile is used for experimental tests on a 5kW Nuvera PowerFlow stack. Steel and composite tied-arch bridges: a conceptual approach to structural design

The behaviour of tied-arch bridges with composite decks (bowstring bridges) is overly sensitive to the different choices made by the designer in the first phases of the conceptual approach, mainly in the design of the arch and the deck. The geometry of the arch shape, the design of the arch–tie joint and the construction sequence can significantly modify the global behaviour in terms of stress state and deformed configuration. On Detection of Yaw and Roll Angle Information for Vehicle Oblique Crash using Hough Transform

When performing vehicle crash tests, it is common to capture high frame rate video (HFR) to observe the vehicle motion during the impact. Such videos contain a lot of information, especially when it comes to geometric data. The yaw and roll angles from the HFR video is detected by using the Hough Transform and Matlab's Image processing Toolbox. The measured Yaw angle from the HFR video are compared with real life test data captured with a gyroscopic device inside the vehicle during the oblique vehicle impact.
Integrated Mathematical Model of Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell Stack (PEMFC) with Automotive Synchronous Electrical Power Drive

In this work, the mathematical dynamical model of a PEMFC stack has been developed and implemented in Matlab environment. Lots of simulations have been executed in two different load conditions. Firstly with a resistive load and finally with a synchronous electrical power drive in automotive load conditions. The innovation in this field consists in the integration in PEMFC stack mathematical dynamic model of a synchronous electrical power drive one for automotive purposes. As regards the simulations with a synchronous electrical power drive, the complete mathematical model allows to evaluate the PEMFC stack performances and electrochemical efficiency. This represents a useful design tool.

In this paper we address the problem of detecting faulty behaviors of cooperative mobile agents. A novel decentralized and scalable architecture that can be adopted to realize a monitor of the agents’ behavior is proposed. We consider agents which may perform different independent tasks, but cooperate to guarantee the entire system’s safety. Agents plan their next actions by following a set of rules which is shared among them. Such rules are decentralized, i.e. they dictate actions that depend only on configurations of neighboring agents.
