Cognitive processes of emotional regulation, burnout and work engagement

Workers constantly resort to cognitive processes of emotion regulation to deal with emotions they experience in the workplace. These processes belong either to the 'automatic' (preconscious and fast) or the 'elaborative' (conscious and slow) mode. This study aims to determine the role of these variables in the work setting and to analyze their relationship with positive and negative affect, engagement and burnout. Method: 350 employees (54.8% men and 45.2% women) were presented with several instruments measuring burnout, engagement, affect and cognitive emotion regulation strategies in a prospective study. Design of an exact data deduplication cluster

Data deduplication is an important component of enterprise storage environments. The throughput and capacity limitations of single node solutions have led to the development of clustered deduplication systems. Most implemented clustered inline solutions are trading deduplication ratio versus performance and are willing to miss opportunities to detect redundant data, which a single node system would detect. We present an inline deduplication cluster with a joint distributed chunk index, which is able to detect as much redundancy as a single node solution. Railway control systems are largely based on data communication and network technologies. With the adoption of Ethernet-IP as the main technology for building end-to-end real-time networks on railway control systems, the requirement to deliver high availability, quality and secure services over Ethernet has become strategic. Critical real-time traffic is generally penalized and the maximum restoration time of 50 msec sometimes is exceeded because of real-time applications hangings, so passengers' safety could be committed. ZERO: An Efficient Ethernet-Over-IP Tunneling Protocol

An Ethernet over IPv4 tunneling protocol is proposed, which categorizes all Ethernet frames to be tunneled into NICE and UGLY frames. The UGLY frames are tunneled by traditional methods, such as UDP or GRE encapsulation, resulting in substantial overhead due to additional headers and fragmentation usually required to transport long Ethernet frames over IP network typically limited to MTU=1,500 bytes. Meanwhile the NICE Ethernet frames are tunneled without any overhead as plain IPv4 packets due to non-traditional reuse of “fragment offset” or “identification” field in the IP header. Developed DMIPs were proposed as a sorption material in solid-phase extraction (SPE) technique for recognition of selected low mass polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs) – PBDE-47 and PBDE-99. I "tipi poeticii" dell’aquila messaggera d’amore e della donna-aquila sono ampiamente presente nel repertorio dei canti “lirico-monostrofici” di tradizione orale diffusi nell’antico Regno delle Due Sicilie. Le prime attestazioni in Sicilia sono state rilevate da Lionardo Vigo, ad Acireale (Catania) e a Itala (Messina), e si possono leggere nella sua prima raccolta di Canti popolari siciliani (1857). A Giuseppe Pitrè si deve invece la prima testimonianza musicale del canto in una variante raccolta a Isnello (sulle Madonie in provincia di Palermo). Polymeric microcontainers improve oral bioavailability of furosemide.

Microcontainers with an inner diameter of 223 μm are fabricated using the polymer SU-8, and evaluated in vitro, in situ and in vivo for their application as an advanced oral drug delivery system for the poorly water soluble drug furosemide. An amorphous sodium salt of furosemide (ASSF) is filled into the microcontainers followed by applying a lid using Eudragit L100. It is possible to control the drug release in vitro, and in vitro absorption studies show that the microcontainers are not a hindrance for absorption of ASSF. In situ perfusion studies in rats are performed with ASSF-filled microcontainers coated with Eudragit and compared to a furosemide solution. The absorption rate constant …
