De novo Transcriptome Assembly and Comparison of C3, C3-C4, and C4 Species of Tribe Salsoleae (Chenopodiaceae)
2017
C4 photosynthesis is a carbon-concentrating mechanism that evolved independently more than 60 times in a wide range of angiosperm lineages. Among other alterations, the evolution of C4 from ancestral C3 photosynthesis requires changes in the expression of a vast number of genes. Differential gene expression analyses between closely related C3 and C4 species have significantly increased our understanding of C4 functioning and evolution. In Chenopodiaceae, a family that is rich in C4 origins and photosynthetic types, the anatomy, physiology and phylogeny of C4, C2, and C3 species of Salsoleae has been studied in great detail, which facilitated the choice of six samples of five representative …
Venozās sistēmas izmaiņas pacientiem, kuri ārstēti ar jaunu inovatīvu metodi endovaskulārai GARU femorālo artēriju slēgumu ārstēšanai: PQ BYPASS
2020
Effect of sample preparation on gel permeation chromatography results of determination of molecular weight of polyethylene obtained with using of zir…
2003
Molecular weights of polyethylene (PE) obtained with using of zirconocene catalyst activated with large excess of methylaluminoxane (MAO) were determined by gel permeation chromatography (GPC) method. It was found that repeatability of the measurements is strongly influenced by MAO remained in PE samples as well as time of sample keeping in the apparatus (dissolution + measurement time) at temp. 142 °C. A method of MAO removing from PE samples, before GPC measurement, based on additional washing of the sample with HF in methanol solution has been proposed. This modification leads to better both authenticity and repeatability of the results. Studies on the influence of time of sample keeping…
Le pont des Grilles de la Basse-Seille (fin XIVe siècle), ancienne porte d’eau de l’enceinte urbaine de Metz
2017
The bridge des Grilles de la Basse-Seille is one of the last vestiges of the medieval fortification in Metz. It is one of rare examples of fortified bridge in France. Built in the end of the 14th century, it is backfilled in 1911 and only its upper section is visible. An archaeological and historic study was made in 2011 to understand the configuration and the functioning of the bridge in the Middle Ages.
Purification and partial characterization of aminopeptidase from barley (Hordeum vulgare L.) seeds.
2013
Aminopeptidases (EC 3.4.11) are proteolytic enzymes, which hydrolyze one amino acid from N-terminus of peptidic substrates. Inhibitors of plant aminopeptidases can find an application in agriculture as herbicides. Isolation and partial characterization of aminopeptidase from barley (Hordeum vulgare L.) seeds has been described. The enzyme was purified to molecular homogeneity using a six-step purification procedure (precipitation with (NH4)2SO4, followed by chromatography on Sephadex G-25, DEAE-Sepharose, Sephacryl HR 300, Macro-Prep Q and Phenyl-Sepharose HP columns). The enzyme was purified 365-fold with recovery above 18%. The molecular weight of the purified enzyme was determined by SDS…
Global Real-World Evidence of Sofosbuvir/Velpatasvir as a Highly Effective Treatment and Elimination Tool in People with Hepatitis C Infection Experi…
2022
HCV elimination; Mental health disorders; Sofosbuvir/velpatasvir Eliminación del VHC; Trastornos de salud mental; Sofosbuvir/velpatasvir Eliminació del VHC; Trastorns de salut mental; Sofosbuvir/velpatasvir Hepatitis C virus (HCV) is prevalent in people with mental health disorders, a priority population to diagnose and cure in order to achieve HCV elimination. This integrated analysis pooled data from 20 cohorts in seven countries to evaluate the real-world effectiveness of the pangenotypic direct-acting antiviral (DAA) sofosbuvir/velpatasvir (SOF/VEL) in people with mental health disorders. HCV-infected patients diagnosed with mental health disorders who were treated with SOF/VEL for 12 w…
Współpraca i partnerstwo : teoretyczne modele relacji organizacji pozarządowych z jednostkami administracji publicznej
2018
Theoretical nmdels were constructed to present and analyse relationships between public administration and non-governrnenlal organizations, cven ifthey difter in terins of central categories, usually point to the symmelry of the posiLion of the parties as the basis for the ąuality of relations between tliem. 'Ihe suggested form is partner ship; that is, co-operation where actors are cqual and as such, despite differences in resóurccs and compclences, tltey share fairly rights-, obligations and responsibility in the process of creating and implemenling social policies. This cąuality is the conscąuence of inereasing the capacity of non governmental organizations to participatc in this field, …
Targeting the mevalonate pathway for improved anticancer therapy.
2009
The mevalonate pathway is important for the generation of isoprene moieties thereby providing the basis for the biosynthesis of molecules required for maintaining membrane integrity, steroid production and cell respiration. Additionally, isoprene precursors are indispensable for the prenylation of regulatory proteins such as Ras and Ras-homologous (Rho) GTPases. These low molecular GTP-binding proteins play key roles in numerous signal transduction pathways stimulated upon activation of cell surface receptors by ligand binding. Thus, Ras/Rho proteins eventually regulate cell proliferation, tumor progression and cell death induced by anticancer therapeutics. Lipid modification of Ras/Rho pro…
Muscle and serum metabolomes are dysregulated in colon-26 tumor-bearing mice despite amelioration of cachexia with activin receptor type 2B ligand bl…
2019
Cancer-associated cachexia reduces survival, which has been attenuated by blocking the activin receptor type 2B (ACVR2B) ligands in mice. The purpose of this study was to unravel the underlying physiology and novel cachexia biomarkers by use of the colon-26 (C26) carcinoma model of cancer cachexia. Male BALB/c mice were subcutaneously inoculated with C26 cancer cells or vehicle control. Tumor-bearing mice were treated with vehicle (C26+PBS) or soluble ACVR2B either before (C26+sACVR/b) or before and after (C26+sACVR/c) tumor formation. Skeletal muscle and serum metabolomics analysis was conducted by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. Cancer altered various biologically functional groups …
Olive oil intake and risk of cardiovascular disease and mortality in the PREDIMED Study
2014
[Background] It is unknown whether individuals at high cardiovascular risk sustain a benefit in cardiovascular disease from increased olive oil consumption. The aim was to assess the association between total olive oil intake, its varieties (extra virgin and common olive oil) and the risk of cardiovascular disease and mortality in a Mediterranean population at high cardiovascular risk.
