PsL Anne Puolakanaho selvitti väitöstutkimuksessaan, miten leikki-ikäisten 3 - 5-vuotiaiden lasten kielelliset ja kognitiiviset taidot ovat yhteydessä lukemisen virheettömyyteen ja sujuvuuteen kouluiässä. Puolakanaho tutki myös, missä määrin dysleksiaa eli sitkeää lukemisvaikeutta voidaan ennakoida lapsikohtaisesti, yksilöllisten riskitekijöiden perusteella jo huomattavasti ennen esikouluikää. Extraction of lapachol from Tabebuia avellanedae wood with supercritical CO2: an alternative to Soxhlet extraction?

The solubility of lapachol in supercritical CO2 was determined at 40°C and pressures between 90 and 210 bar. Supercritical fluid extraction of lapachol and some related compounds by CO2 from Tabebuia avellanedae wood is compared to Soxhlet extraction with different solvents. A standard macroscale (100-200 g wood) and a microscale (~10 mg wood) experimental setup are described and their results are compared. Objectives: To evaluate the results of the laparoscopic sacrocolpopexy using a polypropylene mesh. Methods: We performed laparoscopic sacrocolpopexy on 64 pts who presented a prolapse of the vaginal vault between the II and the IV degree according to HWS classification. The mean age was 65 (range 58-76) with variable parity. The vaginal vault prolapse was present after abdominal hysterectomy in 33 pts.(51%) and after vaginal hysterectomy in 24 pts. (38%). 7 pts. Šī bakalaura darba mērķis ir izpētīt dažāda mēroga ekoloģisko faktoru ietekmi uz platlapju dobumus apdzīvojošo saproksilofāgo vaboļu daudzveidību un izplatību divu platlapju kokiem bagātu Latvijas reģionu parkos un alejās. Darba ietvaros veicu atsevišķu koku faunas izpēti ar Bārbera lamatām, kā arī izvērtēju muižu apstādījumu kā potenciālo lapkoku praulgrauža dzīvotņu kvalitāti. Konstatēju, ka lielāka saproksilofāgo vaboļu daudzveidība ir lapkoku praulgrauža apdzīvotos kokos un sausos dobumos ar vertikālu atveri.
