Se presenta en este artículo una primera valoración de las posibilidades que para la arqueología, y más concretamente para la estratigrafía del paisaje, encierra un soberbio documento como es la serie fotográfica conocida como Vuelo Ruiz de Alda (1929-30), una vez que los fotogramas han sido ampliamente puestos al alcance de la investigación. Para ello se ponen a prueba las imágenes aplicándolas a dos establecimientos de época ibérica antigua (El Oral y El Molar). Igualmente, se ha retomado una línea de investigación a propósito de la red caminera que afecta al enclave de La Alcudia-Ilici, lo que lleva implícitamente a tratar sobre su catastro romano y la trama parcelaria de todo su entorno…

L’attività edilizia a destinazione pubblica fra i Severi e i Soldatenkaiser: continuità e trasformazioni

Un confronto fra le principali iniziative edilizie a Roma nel periodo severiano (193-235 d.C.) e in quello immediatamente successivo dei "Soldatenkaiser" (235-284 d.C.) rivela che gli elementi di continuità superarono di gran lunga quelli di frattura fra le due epoche. Ciò conferma come, in accordo con gli orientamenti attuali degli studi, l'età dei "Soldatenkaiser" non sia stata una reale epoca di crisi.

The Sapiehas and the Potockis were amongst the most influential families of the Polish‑Lithuanian Commonwealth. The latter family owned numerous estates in Ukraine, which were directly under threat from marching Lithuanian soldiers. Kazimierz Jan Sapieha, Grand Hetman of Lithuania was in charge of the said estates. Due to cooperation of the two magnate families, he attempted to shield the Potockis’ estates and possessions from Lithuanian troops marching to or returning from the war with Turkey. Abstract A novel and improved room temperature synthesis of the monohydride catalyst trans-[RuCl(H)(dppe)2] complex (1, dppe (1,2-bis(diphenylphosphino)ethane) = Ph2PCH2CH2PPh2) proceeds through oxidation of methanol (the solvent) by the pentacoordinated cis-[RuCl(dppe)2][PF6] complex and t-BuOK as the base is described. Compound 1 was fully characterized by NMR (1H, 13C, 31P), ESI-MS(TOF +), FTIR and elemental analysis. The X-ray structure of 1 was reported for the first time and unambiguously confirms the trans-configuration of the complex.

Aphids (Hemiptera: Aphididae) have provided a suitable model to study endosymbionts, their community, and dynamics since the discovery of the obligate endosymbiont Buchnera aphidicola in these organisms. In previous studies, Wolbachia was found in some aphid species. In the present study, we report the prevalence of Wolbachia in aphids sampled from a geographically isolated region (Azores Islands), aiming at a better understanding and characterization of the two newly reported supergroups, M and N.
