Electronic Structures and Molecular Properties of Chalcogen Nitrides Se2N2 and SeSN2

The electronic structures and molecular properties of S2N2 as well as the currently unknown chalcogen nitrides Se2N2 and SeSN2 have been studied using various ab initio and density functional methods. All molecules share a qualitatively similar electronic structure and can be primarily described as 2π-electron aromatics having minor singlet diradical character of 6−8% that can be attributed solely to the nitrogen atoms. This diradical character is manifested in the prediction of their molecular properties, in which coupled cluster and multiconfigurational approaches, as well as density functional methods, show the best performance. Bauer 2016) e offre un'analisi linguistica tra le varietà ladine e la quantificazione statistica degli aspetti morfologici e sintattici secondo il quadro teorico del progetto ALD-DM (Università di Salisburgo). L'articolo prende in considerazione i verbi che indicano una percezione sensoriale (per es. udëi 'vedere' audì 'sentire') e le strutture sintattiche che possono selezionare in ladino gardenese. In questa varietà (così come in badiotto, che qui non viene analizzato) si utilizza spesso un gerundio; lo stesso costrutto può essere usato anche in altre lingue romanze, come in francese o spagnolo, ma a differenza di queste il gardenese non permette come alternativa l'uso di un infinito semplice. P-on-N and N-on-P silicon photomultipliers: responsivity comparison in the continuous wave regime

We report the electrical and optical comparison, in continuous wave regime, of two novel classes of silicon photomultipliers (SiPMs) fabricated on silicon P-type and N-type substrate respectively. Responsivity measurements have been performed with an incident optical power from tenths of picowatts to hundreds of nanowatts and on a broad spectrum, ranging from ultraviolet to near infrared (340-820 nm). For both classes of investigated SiPMs, responsivity shows flat response versus the optical incident power, when a preset overvoltage and wavelength is applied . La traducció automàtica en la pràctica: aplicacions, dificultats i estratègies de desenvolupament

En aquest article es descriuen els sistemes de traducció automàtica, les seves aplicacions actuals i les principals dificultats que ha d’afrontar aquesta tecnologia lingüística. Es presenta el sistema Apertium, una plataforma de traducció automàtica de codi obert sobre la qual s’han construït diversos traductors automàtics entre diferents parells d’idiomes, en els quals està inclòs el català. Basant-se en l’experiència dels autors, es descriuen algunes tensions que es donen en el desenvolupament de les dades lingüístiques d’un traductor automàtic i les solucions de compromís a què cal arribar per a construir sistemes útils.
Uno strumento virtuale per il monitoraggio e il controllo di un impianto fotovoltaico a concentrazione

In questa memoria si presenta una sintesi delle attività condotte nell'ambito del progetto SERPICO ("Sviluppo E Realizzazione di Prototipi di Inverter per impianti fotovoltaici a Concentrazione", PO-FESR Sicilia 2007-2013, Misura 4.1.1.2). Il progetto ha riguardato lo sviluppo di un prototipo di impianto fotovoltaico-termico a concentrazione e del relativo sistema di monitoraggio e controllo. Tale sistema permette di acquisire le quantità sia elettriche che termiche. Inoltre esso implementa un algoritmo per l'inseguimento solare utilizzato per ottimizzare la produzione di potenza.

German continues to be one of the most often used foreign languages for academic purposes in Finland although its use has decreased rapidly during the past few decades. The aim of this study is to explore university students’ motivation to learn German. It is part of the FinGer project and focuses on 2257 answers given to one survey question, namely why students have learned German. This multiple choice question with seven options included an open-ended option, which 772 German as a foreign language speaking respondents selected. Konstruktiivisessa osassa näiden avulla rakennetaan yksinkertainen ohjelmistokehys nopeaan verkkopelikehitykseen. Kehyksen toimivuutta arvioidaan eri menetelmillä. This thesis studies the implementation of online games and multi-language software development. A simple rapid application development framework for online games is developed based on these studies. The framework's performance is analyzed using various methods.

[Abstract] The objective of this study was to examine the effect of the situational match status variable on the ball possession of the teams that participated in the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup. The 52 games played during the championship have been collected, and 3,740 ball possessions made by the teams were analyzed. The teams have been divided into successful and unsuccessful. This paper describes the study of human fibrocartilaginous entheses in a multiple indigenous sicanian Sicilian burial dated between VI and V century BC. The tomb, a cave burial, was altered by grave robbers. From the collected osteologic material it was possible to perform the sorting method and to extrapolate the NMI. The research was focused on the scoring and on the analysis of the Entheseal Changes (EC) of the long bones of upper limb and calcaneus; to extrapolate likely patterns of muscle activity according to the approach of the MSM applied in literature we have utilized the Coimbra Method.
