The lower critical solution temperature (LCST) behavior of novel poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG)-based copolymers bearing multiple functional groups, obtained by anionic ring-opening (co)polymerization (AROP), has been investigated. AbstractThis article investigates the construction of gender identities of Pakistani men and women Facebook users given that Facebook has emerged as the prime social media platform through which Pakistani users interact. Fra i cambiamenti più rilevanti in atto nel mondo del lavoro vi è certamente quello riguardante la diversa accezione che ha assunto l’identità professionale. In presenza di una accentuata volubilità e di una difficile definzione dell’identità professionale – spesso divisa fra molte occupazioni svolte in luoghi e in momenti della propria vita e della giornata diversi – il bisogno di ricomposizione che caratterizza la frammentata società contemporanea e che si declina nei diversi ambiti istituzionali sembra assumere nel lavoro connotazioni assolutamente specifiche che meritano particolare attenzione. Il volume risultato dell’approfondimento di una ricerca condotta in Italia nel 2004 da dieci sedi universitarie e riguardante i percorsi di ricomposizione sociale degli adulti-giovani intende offrire un’analisi dei cambiamenti determinati dal differente modo in cui si declina per questa fascia di età la dimensione lavorativa. Il lavoro ci si è chiesti può essere considerato un ambito di ricomposizione nella frammentata vita degli adulti giovani? Attraverso l’analisi quali-quantitativa di diverso materiale empirico si è inteso scandagliare nel rapporto esistente fra lavoro progetto biografico e formazione dell’identità professionale in un periodo in cui la difficile “transizione alla vita adulta” assume sempre più i caratteri della dilazione continuata e in cui “ricomporre la vita” diventa anche per gli adulti giovani sempre più difficile.

Outcome of LR-3 and LR-4 observations without arterial phase hyperenhancement at Gd-EOB-DTPA-enhanced MRI follow-up

Objective: The aim of this study was to retrospectively analyze the outcome of LR-3 and LR-4 without arterial phase hyperenhancement (APHE), and identify which features could predict LR-5 progression on serial Gd-EOB-DTPA-enhanced MRI follow-up. Methods: Forty-nine cirrhotic patients with 55 LR-3 and 19 LR-4 without APHE were evaluated. Observations were classified as decreased, stable or increased in category at follow-up. Observation size and LI-RADS major and ancillary features were evaluated. Results: Seventeen/fifty-five (31%) LR-3 and 8/19 (42%) LR-4 progressed to LR-5 at follow-up. Challenging Unequal Gendered Conventions in Heterosexual Relationship Contexts through Affective Dissonance

In Nordic countries, intimate relationships are routinely compared against ideals of gender equality, even though equality is not always achieved in everyday life. In this article, we analyse interviews with women that lived in unconventional relationships: mid- to later-life women in relationships with younger men, and bisexual women who have had relationships with people of different genders. The women’s expectations of equality and reciprocity in heterosexual relationships collided with the lived reality of inequalities, causing affective dissonance. The molecular analysis of the t(11;22) rearrangement involving EWS/FLI-1 genes is likely to be of diagnostic value in Ewing sarcoma (ES) and primitive neuroectodermal tumors (PNET). Täplärapu (Pacifastacus leniusculus) on tulokaslaji Suomen vesistöissä. Sen on käyttäytymisellään ja ravinnonkäytöllään todettu vähentävän elinalueidensa eliöyhteisöjen monimuotoisuutta. Esimerkiksi Päijänteellä on havaittu joidenkin pohjaeläinten kuten kotiloiden tiheyksien olevan alhaisempia ravun elinalueilla kuin ravuttomilla alueilla. Pohjaselkärangattomat ovat välttämättömiä väli-isäntiä monelle kalan loiselle.
