Tipogrāfs Gerhards Šrēders un latīņu okazionālā dzeja
2019
Rakstā atainota Rīgas pilsētas otrā tipogrāfa Gerharda Šrēdera (Gerhard Schröder, ?-1657) darbības vide un dzīvesgājums. Vispirms iezīmēti grāmatiespiešanas pirmsākumi Rīgā, tipogrāfa pienākumi, pasūtījumu klāsts, atlīdzība par darbu un iegūstamās privilēģijas. Tad aplūkoti priekšnoteikumi, kas Gerhardam Šrēderam bija jāizpilda, lai iegūtu Rātes atļauju pārņemt darbu Nikolaja Mollīna (Niclaes Mollijns, ap 1550/1555-1625) spiestuvē. Tipogrāfijas kvalitātes un iespieddarbu specifikas raksturošanai pētīti okazionālās dzejas iespieddarbi: apskatīts poligrāfiskais izpildījums (vienā iespieddarbā izmantoto dažādo izmēru un veidu burtu komplektu skaits, dekoratīvo elementu, kokgrebumu un gravīru p…

[Spanish medical center collaboration on smoking research from 1999 through 2003 according to the Science Citation Index].
2007
OBJECTIVE To analyze the network structure of collaboration between medical centers sharing authorship of scientific articles on smoking. MATERIAL AND METHODS Articles reporting smoking research by authors from 2 or more Spanish medical centers between 1999 and the end of 2003 were identified through the Science Citation Index. The network of collaboration behind the research was analyzed and the most important measures of centrality were compared. To display the data, scientometric maps were constructed using UCINET and NETDRAW network analysis tools. RESULTS Thirty-five Spanish medical centers (29 hospitals and 6 health care clinics) in 8 autonomous communities were involved in 21 collabo…
A review of the literature and a new classification of the early determinants of childhood obesity: from pregnancy to the first years of life
2007
Abstract From as early on as the development of the fetus, the risk of obesity can be evaluated. At the beginning of life, nutritional intake in man is controlled by innate biological systems and internal signals; and later on, the learning processes determine cognitive structures about food and nutrition, strongly influencing eating habits. It is important to identify all the factors that have an influence on childhood obesity and intervene with prevention programs. In this review, the databases “Pubmed" and “The Cochrane Library" were consulted to provide a review of recent literature (1982-2007) concerning childhood obesity. A particular importance is given to the influence exerted by th…

National indicators were based only on citations from 87 Spanish journals considered source journals, whereas international indicators were calculated on the basis of citations from both national journals and foreign sourc…
