Nous avons saisi l’opportunité d’une enquête archéologique portant sur une dizaine de sites désertés tous contemporains (XIVe-XVe siècle), débutée en 2003, d’abord en bois de Cestres, puis étendue à l’ensemble du Haut Val Suzon (Côte d’Or) , pour réaliser, concomitamment, une étude archéogéographique du bassin du Haut Val Suzon. Celle-ci a pour objet de contextualiser et mettre en perspective sur le temps long les nombreux habitats désertés qui s’y trouvent.

Latvijas Universitāte, Rīga, 41 lpp. Bakalaura darbā ir veikts pētījums par karsta procesu izpausmēm, atklātajām un slēptajām karsta formām Salaspils novadā, Ropažu līdzenuma dienvidrietumos. Pētījumā izveidots trīs dimensionāls Zemes virsmas modelis, izmantojot LIDAR aerolāzerskenēšanas datus. Visas potenciālās karsta formas ir pārbaudītas lauka apsekošanā. Iegūtie rezultāti liecina par karsta procesu izplatību galvenokārt Salaspils novada centrālajā daļā, īpaši ģipšakmens karjera dienvidos, kur plešas karsta formām blīvs karsta apgabals.

The sociodemographic situation in CEE, characterized by the reduction of birth rate and increased share of elderly, draws attention to national social protection systems and in particular to public pension systems. The direct link between the labor market and public pension systems, based on the principle of social solidarity between generations, runs the risk of diminishing budgetary resources obtained from social contributions, while spending on benefits will increase, due to a higher number of beneficiaries, as well as due to the increase in life expectancy, which will determine that the period for which the benefits will be provided will be longer.

The Common Agricultural Policy of the European Union grants subsidies for olive production. Areas of intensified olive farming will be of major importance for the increasing demand for oil production of the next decades, and countries with a high ratio of intensively and super-intensively managed olive groves will be more competitive than others, since they are able to reduce production costs. Effects of agricultural drainage systems on sediment connectivity in a small Mediterranean lowland catchment

Traditional drainage systems combining man-made channels and subsurface tile drains have been used since Roman times to control water excess in Mediterranean lowland regions, favouring adequate soil water regime for agriculture purposes. Mūsdienās ir pieejams liels reljefa ģenerēšanas rīku klāsts. Tomēr, lai uzģenerētu kādai konkrētai valstij vai reģionam līdzīgu reljefu, pašam rīka operatoram jāapzinās visas ģeogrāfiskas detaļas un nianses, līdz ar to jāiegulda laiks tieši pētnieciskam procesam. Uzsvars uz vārdu “līdzīgu”, jo reģionu reljefa simulatori joprojām ir pieprasīts materiāls ne tikai kareivju apmācībās, bet arī noderīgi kā testu dati bezpilota automašīnu trenēšanai, un veiksmīgiem rezultātiem būtu nepareizi izmantot tikai konkrētu eksistējošu reljefa modeli. A LiDAR Prototype with Silicon Photomultiplier and MEMS Mirrors

In this paper, we present a low cost prototype of a Time-Of-Flight (TOF) LiDAR system, employing a SiPM as photo detector and MEMS mirrors in order to steer the nanosecond pulsed optical beam with a scanning angle of +/-6°. Preliminary TOF measurements have been performed both indoor and outdoor to test the limits of the system.
