L'articolo discute la duplice variazione che riguarda i costrutti percettivi delle varietà ladine: da un lato l'uso di due forme verbali diverse (gerundi e infiniti preposizionali), e dall'altro le differenze tra questi costrutti in ladino e nelle varietà iberoromanze. Sulla base dei dati tratti principalmente dalla raccolta di testi friuliani di Vincenzo Joppi (1878), si mostrerà come le peculiarità dei costrutti percettivi ladini siano dovute al loro carattere conservativo, ma anche a un'innovazione interna al ladino.
