Abstract The association between attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and criminality has been increasingly recognized as an important societal concern. Studies conducted in different settings have revealed high rates of ADHD among adolescent offenders. The risk for criminal behavior among individuals with ADHD is increased when there is psychiatric comorbidity, particularly conduct disorder and substance use disorder. Adolescentes y drogas : su relación con la delincuencia

Esta investigación describe la relación con las drogas en una muestra de 286 Adolescentes en Conflicto con la Ley de la ciudad de Valencia (España). Tiene por objeto analizar la relación entre trayectoria delictiva y consumo de drogas. Los resultados informan que, a mayor incidencia delictiva, mayor dependencia. En cuanto a patrones de consumo por tipo de sustancia, el cannabis se asocia a trayectorias delictivas iniciales, y la cocaína, a trayectorias consolidadas. Deviant Youth Groups in Italy and France: Prevalence and Characteristics

International audience; This paper sets out to compare the existence of Juvenile deviant groups in both France and Italy and their characteristics. The comparison between Italy (N=5,236) and France (N=3, 353) is based on the ISRD study of the year 2006 and shows that the term "gang" is commonly used to refer to a group of friends only. The strongest associated variables in both countries to illegal acts are the acceptance of doing illegal things, taking part in delinquent acts, considering the group as a gang as well as spending a lot of time in public places. The aim of this study is to define a profile of juvenile offenders depending on the type of crime (against property or against persons), according to several socio-demographic variables, and a number of indicators of juvenile risk. Participants were 395 adolescents between the ages of 14 and 18 with a criminal record in the juvenile court over a two-year follow-up period. Results showed that in property-related offences the offender is more likely to be male, from an Eastern European country, and with inconsistent parenting.
