This qualitative study aims to analyse the worldview that emerges in the textbooks of Turkish imam and preacher high schools (úmam hatip lisesi). The study material consists of eight textbooks that belong to the vocational religious education of Turkish imams. All of the textbooks were published around 2010. In this study, theoretical considerations regarding the essence of worldview (Weltanschauung) are summarized into an existential model of worldview (EKMA). The model provides two viewpoints from which to understand the worldview under study. Both low-level physical saliency and social information, as presented by human heads or bodies, are known to drive gaze behavior in free-viewing tasks. Researchers have previously made use of a great variety of face stimuli, ranging from photographs of real humans to schematic faces, frequently without systematically differentiating between the two. A novel technique for opus vermiculatum mosaic rendering

In this paper we present a method to generate a digital mosaic starting from a raster input image. Mosaics generation of artistic quality is challenging. The basic elements, the tiles, typically small polygons, must be packed tightly, emphasizing orientations chosen by the artist. An adhoc boundaries detection have to be performed according to the directional guidelines. Different mosaic styles can be automatically rendered, depending on artistic techniques considered (“opus musivum”, “opus vermiculatum”, etc.).
