Le poète de London Nights et de Silhouettes ne vise nullement le réalisme journalistique mais élabore un récit feuilleté où l’art de la danse et de la peinture se mêlent à une réflexion plus large sur l’écriture, l’identité et la mémoire. Une version jamais publiée se doublait de photogravures d’Alvin Langdon Coburn inscrivant en outre la rencontre de l’image et du texte. Cette alchimie poétique produit, sinon de l’or, du moins une vision dorée de la ville mais se conclut sur une note plus sombre lorsque Symons explore l’East End. …

Huomion kohteena on myös mahdollinen yhteiskuntaluokan vaikutus uuden naiskuvan mukaisiin piirteisiin sankarittarien käyttäytymisessä, persoonallisuudessa ja mielipiteissä. W okresie II wojny światowej piłsudczycy, powszechnie obwiniani za klęskę wrześniową w 1939 r., znaleźli się w politycznej izolacji. Od początku marca 1942 r. piłsudczycy w Wielkiej Brytanii wydawali powielany biuletyn „Listy z Londynu”. Pojedynczy egzemplarz czasopisma liczył zazwyczaj od czterech do dziesięciu stron gęsto zapisanego maszynopisu w formacie A4. Powołanie własnego organu prasowego było sporym sukcesem. Because of this, their influence on chemical processes is often low, but can definitely not be ignored, and even becomes important in cases of molecules with large contact surfaces. The paper presents the results of three-year studies conducted at 75 locations in Poland testing the use of the London planes for overwintering of true-bugs. Insects were sampled from the bark of trunks. Altogether 25 species of Heteroptera was recorded, including three invasive species that can considerable affect plane trees: Arocatus longiceps, Corythucha ciliata and Oxycarenus lavaterae.
