Bakalaura darba tēma ir “Dzejas un mākslas savienojums ekspresionisma pilsētas literatūrā”. Pilsētas motīvam ekspresionismā ir būtiska nozīme, jo šajā laika periodā krasi izmainījās pilsētas dzīve, notika strauja industrializācija, cilvēku dzīves mainījās, kā rezultātā pilsēta kļuva par vienu no galvenajām tēmām šajā laika periodā. Ekspresionisms ir radies Vācijā un lielu popularitāti guvis arī Austrijā. Darba gaitā tika analizēti Vācijas un Austrijas dzejnieku un mākslinieku darbi, lai noskaidrotu, kā konkrētie autori redz pilsētu ekspresionisma stila izpausmē. Fracture Shape and Orientation Contributions to P-Wave Velocity and Anisotropy of Alpine Fault Mylonites

P-wave anisotropy is significant in the mylonitic Alpine Fault shear zone. Mineral- and texture-induced anisotropy are dominant in these rocks but further complicated by the presence of fractures. Electron back-scattered diffraction and synchrotron X-ray microtomography (micro-CT) data are acquired on exhumed schist, protomylonite, mylonite and ultramylonite samples to quantify mineral phases, crystal preferred orientations, microfractures and porosity. The samples are composed of quartz, plagioclase, mica and accessory garnet, and contain 3-5% porosity. Based on the micro-CT data, the representative pore shape has an aspect ratio of 5:2:1. Maģistra darbā “Sociāli telpisko atšķirību etniskās iezīmes Latvijas lielajās pilsētās” analizēta lielāko tautību sociāli telpiskās nošķiršanās pakāpe un ģeogrāfiskais izvietojums visās lielajās pilsētās, izņemot galvaspilsētu Rīgu. Latvijā ir augsts mazākumtautību īpatsvars, ko pamatā veido pilsētās dzīvojoša krievvalodīgo grupa. Tomēr līdz šim maz zināms par visu lielāko tautību izvietojuma iezīmēm un savstarpējās nošķiršanās pakāpi apdzīvojumā. In an extensive screening, the antiviral, antitrypanosomal and anticancer properties of extracts from 82 plants used in traditional Chinese medicine and European phytomedicine were determined. Several promising plants that were highly effective against hepatitis B virus (HBV), bovine viral diarrhoea virus (BVDV)—a flavivirus used here as a surrogate in vitro model of hepatitis C virus, trypanosomes (Trypanosoma brucei brucei) and several cancer cell lines were identified. Aims: To complete the syntaxonomic scheme for tall-forb vegetation of the montane and alpine belts in the Pamir-Alai and western Tian Shan Mountains in Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan with some remarks on its environmental predictors. Study area: Middle Asia: Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. Methods: A total of 244 relevés were sampled in 2013–2019 using the seven-degree cover-abundance scale of the Braun-Blanquet approach. These were classified with a modified TWINSPAN algorithm with pseudospecies cut-levels 0%, 5% and 25%, and total inertia as a measure of cluster heterogeneity. As part of a multi-year programme, survey campaigns have been carried out on both slopes of the Petit-Saint-Bernard pass (2188 m, western Alps), at an altitude of between 750 and 3000 m. The method employed abandons ground-based surveying in favour of multiple manual surveys carried out on selected topographic contexts down to the base of the Holocene fill. The results obtained document the longterm development of the pedo-sedimentary dynamic and the occupation of the different altitude stages. Tämä tutkielma käsittelee sukupuolieroja auttamiskäyttäytymisessä. Tutkimus toteutettiin englanninkielisellä kyselylomakkeella internetissä. Kyselylomakkeessa vastaajien tuli kertoa sukupuolensa, johon identifioituvat, ikäryhmänsä, vastata kuuteen avoimeen kysymykseen ja kertoa, miten he käyttäytyisivät erilaisissa kuvitteellisissa tilanteissa, joissa heidän läheinen ystävänsä pyysi heiltä apua. Tilanteet liittyivät kuuteen eri teemaan, joiden on tutkittu vaikuttavan eniten ihmisten onnellisuuteen: psyykkinen sekä fyysinen terveys, siviilisääty, raha, työ ja koulu.
