Fluency and rule breaking behaviour in the frontal cortex

Design (DF) and phonemic fluency tests (FAS; D-KEFS, 2001) are commonly used to investigate voluntary generation. Despite this, several important issues remain poorly investigated. In a sizeable sample of patients with focal left or right frontal lesion we established that voluntary generation performance cannot be accounted for by fluid intelligence. For DF we found patients performed significantly worse than healthy controls (HC) only on the switch condition. However, no significant difference between left and right frontal patients was found. Abstract Scheelite-type materials such as LaNbO4 are increasingly attracting attention as a possible alternative to the most common fluorite and perovskite structure as ion conductors. However, they are much less used and investigated. The introduction of tungsten in lanthanum orthoniobate leads to conduction properties that are compatible with oxygen ion conductivity. In this paper, we studied the effect of the introduction of tungsten in the LaNbO4 structure. High resolution X-ray diffraction showed that in LaNb1-xWxO4+x/2 with x = 0.16 the monoclinic distortion is largely suppressed and the tetragonal phase is predominant at room temperature. The Fatty Liver Assessment in Germany (FLAG) cohort study identifies large heterogeneity in NAFLD care

Background & Aims NAFLD is a growing health concern. The aim of the Fatty Liver Assessment in Germany (FLAG) study was to assess disease burden and provide data on the standard of care from secondary care. Methods The FLAG study is an observational real-world study in patients with NAFLD enrolled at 13 centres across Germany. Severity of disease was assessed by non-invasive surrogate scores and data recorded at baseline and 12 months. Results In this study, 507 patients (mean age 53 years; 47% women) were enrolled. Maģistra darba ietvaros tiek analizēta zinātniskā literatūra par Visaptverošo ekonomikas un tirdzniecības nolīgumu, kas ir jauns nolīgums, par kuru vienojās ES un Kanāda. Maģistra darba mērķu sasniegšanai tika pētītas dažādas tirdzniecības teorijas, kā arī īpašā uzmanība tika pievērsta PTO lomai tirdzniecības liberalizācijā un RTV un BTZ problēmām mūsdienas protekcionisma ietekmē. Padziļināti tika izpētītas ģeogrāfiskas izcelsmes norādes, to jo īpaši to aizsardzība ES likumdošanā un VETN. Pētījumā rezultāta tika noskaidrotas priekšrocības un iespējamas problēmas, ko dod Visaptverošs ekonomikas un tirdzniecības nolīgums attiecībā uz ģeogrāfiskas izcelsmes norāžu aizsardzību.

The severity of steatosis influences liver stiffness measurement in patients with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease

In nonalcoholic fatty liver disease, the influence of severity of steatosis on liver stiffness measurement (LSM) is poorly studied and still debated. We assessed the impact of steatosis severity and its ultrasonographic (US) sign, severe bright liver echo pattern, on LSM values and on transient elastography accuracy for the diagnosis of liver fibrosis in a cohort of consecutive patients with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease.
