Synthesis, spectroscopic characterization and antiproliferative activity of two platinum(II) complexes containing N-donor heterocycles

Abstract Novel mononuclear complexes of Pt(II), cis -[PtCl 2 (DMSO)HL]·2DMSO ( 1 ), where HL = 7-amino-2-(methylthio)[1,2,4]triazolo[1,5- a ]pyrimidine-6-carboxylic acid and Pt(bdt)Cl 2 ( 2 ), where bdt = [2,4-bis(5,6-diphenyl-1,2,4-triazin-3yl)-pyridine] have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR and 1 H NMR spectroscopy and X-ray crystallography diffraction analyses. Intracellular pH-dependent efflux of the fluorescent probe pyranine in the yeast Yarrowia lipolytica.

International audience; 8-Hydroxypyrene-1,3,6-trisulfonic acid (pyranine) can be used as a vital intracellular pH (pH(i)) indicator. In the yeast Yarrowia lipolytica, a partial efflux of the probe was detected by using the pH-independent wavelength of 415 nm. A simplified correction of the fluorescent signals was applied, enabling to show for this species a good near-neutral pH(i) maintenance capacity in a pH 3.9 medium. Octanoic acid, which is known to have toxic effects on yeast, decreased the pH(i) and increased the 260-nm-absorbing compounds leakage. Nereis virens were collected between April 1989 and April 1990 at Yerseke, Oosterscheldt Bay, The Netherlands. Activities of the hydrolytic enzymes arylsulfatase, acid phosphatase, N-acetylglucosaminidase, aminopeptidase, and carboxylesterase were investigated in coelomic cells (elaeocytes) of individuals at different stages of maturation as determined by the time course of oocyte growth. On a protein-content basis, up to ten-fold higher specific activities were present in the elaeocytes compared to the body-wall tissue. This work describes results on the characterization of cadmium binding proteins (Cd-BPs) obtained from cadmium exposed freshwater crayfish Procambarus clarkii. After acclimation to laboratory conditions, induction of Cd-BPs was achieved by water exposure at a concentration of 100 micrograms Cd/L during 2, 15, and 30 d. In accordance with the method followed by Engel and Brouwer, in each case two midgut glands were minced and homogenized in Tris-HC1 buffer with PMSF to prevent protease activity and DTT to maintain reducing conditions. In primary monocultures of adult rat liver parenchymal cells (PC), the activities of the xenobiotic metabolizing enzymes microsomal epoxide hydrolase (mEHb), soluble epoxide hydrolase (sEH), glutathione S-transferases (GST), and phenolsulfotransferase (ST) were reduced after 7 d to values below 33% of the initial activities. Furthermore, the gap junctional intercellular communication (GJIC), measured after microinjection by dye transfer, decreased from 90% on Day 1 to undetectable values after 5 d in monoculture. Rat liver parenchymal cells (PC) were isolated by EDTA perfusion and were purified by a subsequent Percoll centrifugation. The isolated PC had a viability of 95%, as judged by trypan blue exclusion. Freshly isolated PC were cryopreserved with an optimized protocol in a computer-controlled freezer. After thawing, the PC still retained a viability of 89%. The activities of representative xenobiotic metabolizing enzymes were compared between freshly isolated and cryopreserved PC after thawing. To inform the development of programmes to reduce sedentary behaviour, insight into the correlates is needed. Darbā aplūkots periods no 06.04.2016. līdz 29.04.2016, izmantojot augstas frekvences (stundas intervāla) datus par 36 “The Standard & Poor’s 500” indeksā iekļauto uzņēmumu akcijām. Sociālo mediju sentimenta aprēķināšanai ir izmantota vārdnīcu pieeja - konkrēti, R programmēšanas valodas bibliotēka “sentimentr”.
