Child–educator disagreements in Finnish early childhood education and care: young children’s possibilities for influence

This study explores young children’s possibilities for influence in situations of child–educator disagreement in Finnish early childhood education and care (ECEC). Data were gathered from observations conducted in four ECEC groups of under three year-olds. A total of 112 child–educator disagreements were analysed qualitatively using reflexive thematic analysis. Children’s influence was rather limited in most disagreements, as these involved the established institutional order as manifested in the rules and norms of daily activities and educators’ control over children’s bodies and material resources. The socio-cultural changes, which take place in a contemporary world, influence on intergenerational transfer of norms, views and creation of young generation's cultural Capital. The authońs empirical materiał, collected throughout the last 20 years, depicts chosen elements of objective socialization which, being present in a few interviewed groups of youth, specify the inner-family transfer of norms and values. The heterogeneousness of the researched groups indicates the complicated character of the described phenomenon.

L'interaction lieu – objet comme conceptualisation de l'expérience vécue : proposition d'un modèle intégrateur

This article proposes to reconsider the concept of lived experience by the consumer which is the object of a normative vision in marketing. Thanks to the concept of value, we seek to improve the conceptualization of the experience by defining it as an interaction place - object. We conduct an empirical analysis on the field of live shows to compare rival modellings of lived experience. The results show the importance of the consumption place as frame of lived experience and confirm an indirect influence of the place on global perceived value. Finally, they allow a validation of differents scales used in this model.

Les projets éducatifs sont, par nature, des visions enchevêtrées de moyens et d’objectifs qui tentent de faire face à des apories éducatives. Ce texte propose d’envisager les apports de la pensée de Ruwen Ogien pour cela. On y examine ainsi successivement les possibilités offertes pour la sanction éducative, l’orientation et la prise en charge de la difficulté scolaire au moyen des notions de « faiblesse de la volonté », de non-nuisance et de l’idée de supériorité des droits sur les valeurs.
