Study of the associated production of photons andb-quark jets inpp¯collisions ats=1.96  TeV

2010

The cross section for photon production in association with at least one jet containing a b quark has been measured in proton antiproton collisions at {radical}(s)=1.96 TeV. The data sample used corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 340 pb{sup -1} collected with the CDF II detector. Both the differential cross section as a function of photon transverse energy E{sub T}{sup {gamma}}and the total cross section are measured and compared to a next-to-leading order prediction for the process.

Measurement of the integrated luminosities of the data taken by BESIII at √ s = 3.650 and 3.773 GeV

2013

Data sets were collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPC II collider at the center-of-mass energy of root s=3.650 GeV during May 2009 and at root s=3.773 GeV from January 2010 to May 2011. By analyzing the large angle Bhabha scattering events, the integrated luminosities of the two data sets are measured to be (44.49 +/- 0.02 +/- 0.44) pb(-1) and (2916.94 +/- 0.18 +/- 29.17) pb(-1), respectively, where the first error is statistical and the second error is systematic.

Search for $\gamma\gamma$ decays of a Higgs boson produced in association with a fermion pair in $e^+ e^-$ collisions at LEP

2000

A serach for gamma gamma decays of Higgs boson is performed in the data sample collected at LEP with the ALEPH detector between 1991 and 1999. This corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 672 pb-1 centre-of-mass energies ranging from 88 to 202 GeV. The search is based on topologies arising from a Higgs boson produced in association with a fermion pair via the Higgs-strahlung process e+e- -> Hffbar, with ffbar = nunubar, e+e-, mu+mu-, tau+tau- or qqbar... Search for theZ(4430)−atBABAR

2009

We report the results of a search for Z(4430)^- decay to J/Ψ π^- or Ψ(2S)π^- in B(^-.0)→ J/Ψ π^-K^(0.+) and B^(-.0) → Ψ(2S)π^-K^(0.+) decays. The data were collected with the BABAR detector at the SLAC PEP-II asymmetric-energy e^+e^- collider operating at center-of-mass energy 10.58 GeV, and the sample corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 413 fb^(-1). Each K π^- mass distribution exhibits clear K^*(892) and K_2^*(1430) signals, and the efficiency-corrected spectrum is well described by a superposition of the associated Breit-Wigner intensity distributions, together with an S-wave contribution obtained from the LASS I=1/2 K π^- scattering amplitude measurements. Each K π^- angular dist…

Observation of ${{e^+e^- \rightarrow D_s^+} \overline{ D}^{\bf (*)0} {K^-}}$ and study of the P -wave ${{D_s}}$ mesons

2018

Studies of $e^+e^- \to D_s^+ \overline{D}{}^{(*)0}K^-$ and the $P$-wave charmed-strange mesons are performed based on an $e^+e^-$ collision data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 567 pb$^{-1}$ collected with the BESIII detector at $\sqrt{s}= 4.600$ GeV. The processes of $e^+e^-\to D_s^+ \overline{D}{*}^{0} K^-$ and $D_s^+ \overline{D}{}^{0} K^-$ are observed for the first time and are found to be dominated by the modes $D_s^+ D_{s1}(2536)^-$ and $D_s^+ D^*_{s2}(2573)^-$, respectively. The Born cross sections are measured to be $\sigma^{B}(e^+e^-\to D_s^+ \overline{D}{*}^{0} K^-) = (10.1\pm2.3\pm0.8) pb$ and $\sigma^{B}(e^+e^-\to D_s^+ \overline{D}{}^{0} K^-) = (19.4\pm2.3\…

Search for the reactionse+e−→μ+τ−ande+e−→e+τ−

2007

We report on a search for the lepton- flavor- violating processes e(+) e(-) -> mu(+) tau(-) and e(+) e(-) -> e(+) tau(-). The data sample corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 211 fb(-1) recorded by the BABAR experiment at the SLAC PEP-II asymmetric-energy B Factory at a center-of-mass energy of root s = 10.58 GeV. We find no evidence for a signal and set the 90% confidence level upper limits on the cross sections to be sigma (mu tau) < 3.8 fb and sigma(e tau) < 9.2 fb. The ratio of the cross sections with respect to the dimuon cross section are measured to be sigma (mu tau)/sigma (mu mu) < 3.4 X 10(-6) and sigma (e tau)/sigma (mu mu) < 8.2 X 10(-6).

Search forCPViolation in the DecaysD0→K−K+andD0→π−π+

2008

We report a search for CP violation in the decay modes D±→KS0K±, Ds±→KS0K±, and Ds±→KS0π± using a data set corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 469  fb-1 collected with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II asymmetric energy e+e- storage rings. The decay rate CP asymmetries, ACP, are determined to be (+0.13±0.36(stat)±0.25(syst))%, (-0.05±0.23(stat)±0.24(syst))%, and (+0.6±2.0(stat)±0.3(syst))%, respectively. These measurements are consistent with zero, and also with the Standard Model prediction [(-0.332±0.006)% for the D±→KS0K± and Ds±→KS0K± modes, and (+0.332±0.006)% for the Ds±→KS0π± mode]. They are the most precise determinations to date.

Measurements ofCPviolation in the three-body phase space of charmlessB±decays

2014

The charmless three-body decay modes B±→K±π+π−, B±→K±K+K−, B±→π±K+K− and B±→π±π+π− are reconstructed using data, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3.0  fb−1, collected by the LHCb detector. The inclusive CP asymmetries of these modes are measured to be ACP(B±→K±π+π−)=+0.025±0.004±0.004±0.007,ACP(B±→K±K+K−)=−0.036±0.004±0.002±0.007,ACP(B±→π±π+π−)=+0.058±0.008±0.009±0.007,ACP(B±→π±K+K−)=−0.123±0.017±0.012±0.007, where the first uncertainty is statistical, the second systematic, and the third is due to the CP asymmetry of the B±→J/ψK± reference mode. The distributions of these asymmetries are also studied as functions of position in the Dalitz plot and suggest contributions from res…

Measurement of the production cross section forZ/γ*in association with jets inppcollisions ats=7  TeVwith the ATLAS detector

2012

Results are presented on the production of jets of particles in association with a Z/gamma* boson, in proton-proton collisions at root s = 7 TeV with the ATLAS detector. The analysis includes the full 2010 data set, collected with a low rate of multiple proton-proton collisions in the accelerator, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 36 pb(-1). Inclusive jet cross sections in Z/gamma* events, with Z/gamma* decaying into electron or muon pairs, are measured for jets with transverse momentum p(T) > 30 GeV and jet rapidity vertical bar y vertical bar < 4.4. The measurements are compared to next-to-leading-order perturbative QCD calculations, and to predictions from different Monte Carl…
