Attālināts automašīnu monitorings, izmantojot lietu interneta un bezservera tehnoloģijas

2020

Ikvienā modernā automašīnā notiek milzīgs daudzums ar elektroniskiem un mehāniskiem procesiem, kas vajadzīgi, lai automašīna veiktu optimālu funkcionēšanu. Daļu no iekšējiem procesiem iespējams no ārpuses novērot, izmantojot automašīnu pašdiagnostikas sistēmu (OBD).

A model species for agricultural pest genomics: the genome of the Colorado potato beetle, Leptinotarsa decemlineata (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae)

2018

AbstractThe Colorado potato beetle is one of the most challenging agricultural pests to manage. It has shown a spectacular ability to adapt to a variety of solanaceaeous plants and variable climates during its global invasion, and, notably, to rapidly evolve insecticide resistance. To examine evidence of rapid evolutionary change, and to understand the genetic basis of herbivory and insecticide resistance, we tested for structural and functional genomic changes relative to other arthropod species using genome sequencing, transcriptomics, and community annotation. Two factors that might facilitate rapid evolutionary change include transposable elements, which comprise at least 17% of the gen…

Exome sequencing of a family with lone, autosomal dominant atrial flutter identifies a rare variation in ABCB4 significantly enriched in cases

2015

Background Lone atrial flutter (AFL) and atrial fibrillation (AF) are common and sometimes consequential cardiac conduction disorders with a strong heritability, as underlined by recent genome-wide association studies that identified genetic modifiers. Follow-up family-based genetic analysis also identified Mendelian transmission of disease alleles. Three affected members were exome-sequenced for the identification of potential causative mutations, which were subsequently validated by direct sequencing in the other 3 affected members. Taqman assay was then used to confirm the role of any mutation in an independent population of sporadic lone AFL/AF cases. Results The family cluster analysis…

Gold vs. platinum-iridium tip catheter for cavotricuspid isthmus ablation: the AURUM 8 study

2010

Aims Gold electrodes have the theoretical advantage of creating bigger lesions than platinum–iridium (Pt–Ir) electrodes. We performed a prospective randomized study to compare the clinical efficacy of standard 8 mm Pt–Ir tip catheter (control) and 8 mm gold-tip catheters in the ablation of the cavotricuspid isthmus (CTI)-dependent atrial flutter. Methods and results A total of 463 patients undergoing CTI ablation in 19 clinical centres were randomized to receive the treatment by gold-tip or control catheter. The primary endpoint was cumulative radiofrequency (RF) application duration until achieving bidirectional CTI block. It did not differ significantly for the two catheters. The gold-tip…

Impact of atrial fibrillation/flutter on the in-hospital mortality of surgical patients – Results from the German nationwide cohort

2020

To investigate the impact of atrial fibrillation/flutter (AF) on adverse in-hospital outcomes in hospitalized surgical patients. The nationwide German inpatient sample of the years 2005-2018 was used for this analysis. Surgical patients were stratified by AF and compared. Logistic regression models were used to investigate the impact of AF on in-hospital outcomes. In total, 96,589,627 hospitalizations with surgery were included in the present analysis in Germany (2005-2018). Among these, 6,680,261 were additionally coded with AF (6.9%). In-hospital death rate was substantially higher in surgical patients with AF (6.3%) than without (1.1%). Proportion of surgical patients with AF increased fro…

Impact of atrial fibrillation/flutter on the in-hospital mortality of ischemic stroke patients.

2020

Stroke is the second leading cause of death worldwide. Ischemic strokes, which are caused by atrial fibrillation/flutter (AF), may be more devastating than those that occur without AF.The purpose of this study was to investigate the impact of AF on adverse events in hospitalized ischemic stroke patients and to estimate the elevated impact of AF on the occurrence of these adverse events. The nationwide German inpatient sample of the years 2005-2015 was used for this analysis. Ischemic stroke patients were identified by ICD code I63 and stratified by AF. Logistic regression models were used to investigate the impact of AF on adverse in-hospital events and adjusted for age, sex, and comorbiditi…
