Human breast and colon carcinoma tissues contain a form of collagen, not described before, composed of alpha 1 chains of similar size (approximately 100 kDa) but different charge. The three constitutive chains, separated by two-dimensional electrophoresis, are a unique acidic component, undetectable in other collagen types, with an apparent isoelectric point of 4-5, and two more basic components displaying the same electrophoretic behavior as alpha 1(III) and alpha 1(I), respectively. International audience; Because the yeast Brettanomyces produces volatile phenols and acetic acid, it is responsible for wine spoilage. The uncontrolled accumulation of these molecules in wine leads to sensorial defects that compromise wine quality, The need for a rapid, specific, sensitive and reliable method to detect this spoilage yeast has increased over the last decade. All these requirements are met by real-time PCR. We here propose improvements of existing methods to enhance the robustness of the assay. In this paper, we present a study of a group of cooper and bronze objects that were found by chance in the Bronze Age village of L’Arbocer (Font de la Figuera, Valencia). The main aims are the description of the objects and the results of the X Ray Fluorescence analyses. Moreover; a short fieldwork season has been carried out, which has allowed us to determine the archaeological context of the metals and to establish their connection with a possible area of metallurgical activity. The systematic field surveys carried out since the beginning of the 2000s around the fortified site of the Camp du Château at Salins-les-Bains (Jura, France) have led to the discovery of 74 Bronze Age hoards, a density rarely observed in France. Dating from the beginning of the Middle Bronze Age to the Late Bronze Age, this dataset is unique as it provides detailed information on the composition of the hoards and their distribution within a defined territorial and chronological framework.These hoards are mainly made up of fragments, as around 90% of the objects are broken. Terricaulis silvestris gen. nov., sp. nov., a novel prosthecate, budding member of the family Caulobacteraceae isolated from forest soil

The family Caulobacteraceae comprises prosthecate bacteria with a dimorphic cell cycle and also non-prosthecate bacteria. Cells of all described species divide by binary fission. Strain 0127_4T was isolated from forest soil in Baden Württemberg (Germany) and determined to be the first representative of the family Caulobacteraceae which divided by budding. Cells of strain 0127_4T were Gram-negative, rod-shaped, prosthecate, motile by means of a polar flagellum, non-spore-forming and non-capsulated.
