On a Robin (p,q)-equation with a logistic reaction

We consider a nonlinear nonhomogeneous Robin equation driven by the sum of a \(p\)-Laplacian and of a \(q\)-Laplacian (\((p,q)\)-equation) plus an indefinite potential term and a parametric reaction of logistic type (superdiffusive case). We prove a bifurcation-type result describing the changes in the set of positive solutions as the parameter \(\lambda \gt 0\) varies. Also, we show that for every admissible parameter \(\lambda \gt 0\), the problem admits a smallest positive solution.

Ādas hromoforu kartēšana, izmantojot divu momentuzņēmumu metodi

Darba mērķis ir izstrādāt metodi, ar kuru īsā laika posmā var iegūt informāciju par hromoforu koncentrāciju sadalījumu ādā. Darbā tiek apskatītas vairākas ādas patoloģijas. Katra veidojuma analīzei tiek uzņemti divi attēli. Pirmais attēls tiek iegūts, ādu apgaismojot ar trīs dažādu viļņu garumu lāzeriem: 450nm, 525nm un 850nm. Savukārt otrs attēls tiek iegūts, ādu apgaismojot ar diviem dažādu viļņa garuma lāzeriem: 405nm un 656nm. Tālāk attēli tiek sadalīti R, G un B kanālos. Papildus tiek iegūti pieci references attēli, apgaismojot baltu lapu ar katru no lāzeriem. Sadalot arī šos attēlus R, G un B kanālos, rezultātā tiek iegūti 21 monohromatisks attēls, no kuriem tiek aprēķināti spektrālās…

Testing the nature of the Λ(1520)-resonance in proton-induced production

The $\Lambda(1520)$ resonance has been recently studied in a unitarized coupled channel formalism with $\pi\Sigma(1385)$, $K\Xi(1530)$, $\bar{K}N$ and $\pi\Sigma$ as constituents blocks. We provide a theoretical study of the predictions of this model in physical observables of the $pp\to pK^+K^-p$ and $pp\to pK^+\pi^0\pi^0\Lambda$ reactions. In particular, we show that the ratio between the $\pi^0\pi^0\Lambda$ and $K^-p$ mass distributions can provide valuable information on the ratio of the couplings of the $\Lambda(1520)$ resonance to $\pi\Sigma(1385)$ and $\bar{K}N$ that the theory predicts. Bakalaura darbs izpētē kalambūru un paradoksu funkcijas Terija Pračeta romānā “Piramīdas”. Teorētiskā daļa ir veltīta kalambūru un paradoksu definiciju, kalsifikāciju un šķirņu pētījumam, kā arī viņu piemēriem un izplatībāi. Pētījuma merķis ir izpētīt un analizēt kalambūru un paradoksu funkcijas Terija Pračeta romānā “Piramīdas”. Pētījuma gaitā tika izmantotas tādas metodes kā teorētisko avotu analīze un autora citu darbu salīdzinošā analīze. Pētījuma rezultāti liecina, ka autors savā grāmatā izmanto dažādus paradoksus dažādām funkcijām, saistītiem ar sižetu un kultūras kontekstu. Pētījums ļauj secināt, ka paradoksiem ir sižeta un kultūras konteksta funkcijas, bet kalambūri darbojas ka ierī…

Rafał Urban (1893-1972) był z pochodzenia Ślązakiem. Język jego utworów prozatorskich, dramatów i wierszy przesycony jest elementami rodzimej gwary. Artykuł omawia charakterystyczne dla stylu utworów gry ; słowne przybierające różne formy, od etymologii po paronomazje i kalambury. Figury te są przejawem indywidualnych upodobań autora. Pisarz bawił się językiem, wykorzystując wszelkie ku temu okazje na wszystkich poziomach systemu, od fonetyki po semantykę i składnię. Insight into particle production mechanisms via angular correlations of identified particles in pp collisions at √s = 7 TeV

Two-particle angular correlations were measured in pp collisions at s√=7 TeV for pions, kaons, protons, and lambdas, for all particle/anti-particle combinations in the pair. Data for mesons exhibit an expected peak dominated by effects associated with mini-jets and are well reproduced by general purpose Monte Carlo generators. However, for baryon–baryon and anti-baryon–anti-baryon pairs, where both particles have the same baryon number, a near-side anti-correlation structure is observed instead of a peak.
