Negli ultimi trent’anni il Meridione d’Italia da regione di emigranti è divenuta regione di immigrati. Tale fenomeno ha interessato tanto le grandi aree urbane, quanto i contesti rurali. In riferimento alla Sicilia Sud-Orientale le statistiche degli ultimi 20 anni mostrano un significativo sviluppo del settore agricolo, con elevati livelli di innovazione e internazionalizzazione della produzione. Abstract Tree‐fall gaps are small‐scale disturbances whose formation, colonization, and role in forest dynamics are well documented, but whose effects on animal ecology are still greatly overlooked, except for studies comparing species richness of gaps 6+ months old to that in the closed canopy. Other factors associated with the invasion of fresh tree‐fall gaps such as animal breeding adaptations have been largely neglected. To devise effective conservation actions, it is important to know which factors are associated with the population parameters of a declining population. Using mark–recapture methods, we estimated the annual population size, growth rate and survival probability of an ear-tagged flying squirrel population over a 15-year period in a 4,500 ha study area in western Finland. The species is considered vulnerable, but detailed knowledge concerning population sizes or trends is lacking. The paper deals with the sculptural images of the Iulio-Claudian princesses that were found in SIcily,. Beside iconography, the statuary types, associations and contexts of the portraits are treated, in order to understand the meanings and the role of the honors payed to the domus Augusta by the cities of Roman Sicily in shaping the new cultural landscape of the province after Augustus.

La recherche présentée ici propose une méthode de description et d’évaluation des caractéristiques d’un paysage qui combine la géographie quantitative et l’économétrie des modèles hédoniques. Un modèle géographique produit des indices caractérisant les paysages à partir d’une reconstitution de la vue depuis le sol, en tenant compte des effets du relief et des masques que les objets hauts opposent à la vue.
