Arviointi ja palautteenanto ovat oleellisia asioita opettajan jokapäiväisessä työssä. Lisäksi asenteiden tutkiminen on tällä hetkellä suosittu tutkimusala. Tässä tapaustutkimuksessa tutkittiin, millaista vuorovaikutuksellista palautetta opettaja antaa oppilailleen alakoulun englannin kielen tunneilla, ja millainen yhteys sillä on oppilaiden asenteisiin englannin kieltä kohtaan. Tutkimusaineisto koostui kolmesta opettajasta ja heidän oppilaistaan; yksi englannin kielen aineenopettaja ja hänen viidesluokkalainen ryhmänsä sekä kaksi luokanopettajaa ja heidän neljäs- ja viidesluokkalaisensa. Väestön ikääntymisen myötä eläkeikäisten ihmisten rooli on noussut tärkeään asemaan myös vieraiden kielten oppimisessa ja opetuksessa. Ikääntyneitä oppijoita on kuitenkin tutkittu Suomessa vielä valitettavan vähän. Poikkeuksena mainittakoon Aino Jaatisen (2003) paljolti omaksi avukseen laatima tutkimus ikääntyneistä englannin oppijoista, jota on käytetty pohjakirjallisuutena myös tässä tutkielmassa. The effect of perceived school climate and teacher efficacy in behavior management on job satisfaction and burnout: A longitudinal study

Abstract This study investigated how perceived school climate affects teachers' job satisfaction and burnout and how self-efficacy and collective efficacy in behavior management mediate the effect of perceived school climate on job satisfaction and burnout. The questions were answered using longitudinal questionnaire data collected from 642 Finnish lower secondary school teachers. A structural equation model revealed that school climate had a positive effect, partly mediated by self-efficacy, on job satisfaction. Based on a one-year ethnographic study of a primary school in Finland with specialised classes in Finnish and English (referred to as bilingual classes by research participants), this research traces how nationed, ethnicised, classed and gendered differences are produced and gain meaning in school. The Sentiments, Attitudes, and Concerns About Inclusive Education Revised scale was developed to close the existing gap in measuring perceptions of inclusive education in the educative context. It has been widely used in other cultures but not in Spain. Our objective has been to analyze the psychometric properties in the Spanish sample by studying their relationship with empathy and social dominance variables, finally taking into account sociodemographic variables to observe if there are differences. Trainee language teachers require a high standard of subject knowledge for their intense training programme and frequently find it difficult to balance the need to maintain their language proficiency with the more urgent necessity of learning new professional skills. Tämän kvantitatiivisen proseminaarityön tarkoituksena oli tutkia vanhempien tietämystä kielikylpyopetuksesta sekä heidän halukkuuttaan tarjota sitä englanninkielisenä lapsilleen. Tarkoitus oli selvittää, tietävätkö vanhemmat kielikylvystä entuudestaan ja olisivatko he kiinnostuneita laittamaan lapsensa kielikylpyopetukseen. Tutkielmassa tarkasteltiin myös vanhempien käsityksiä siitä, miten kielikylpy vaikuttaa esim. kielelliseen kehitykseen tai muiden aineiden oppimiseen. Tutkielma tarjosi vanhemmille kahta kielikylpymallia, osittaisen ja totaalisen, joista vanhemmat saivat valita mieluisemman.
