Spektrofotometryczna metoda oznaczania składu kopolimerów etylen/1-heksen

Zmodyfikowano znaną z literatury spektrofotometryczną (FT-IR) metodę oznaczania składu kopolimerów etylenu z α-olefinami i wykorzystano ją do oznaczania składu kopolimerów etylenu z 1-heksenem o bardzo dużym ciężarze cząsteczkowym (~ 106) (tabela 1). Wyprowadzono zależność umożliwiającą obliczenie zawartości 1-heksenu w kopolimerach etylen/1-heksen na podstawie stosunku wartości absorbancji pasm ACH31379 / ACH21369 [równanie (8)] oznaczonych po separacji odpowiednich pasm analitycznych (rys. 7 i 8). Ustalono też, że absorbancji pasm z zakresu 722 cm-1 nie powinno się wykorzystywać w proponowanej metodzie ilościowej (tabela 1).
Studies of intermolecular heterogeneity distribution in ethylene/1-hexene copolymers using DSC method

The investigation of the intermolecular composition distribution of an ethylene/1-hexene copolymers using DSC method has been carried out. The known methods: step crystallization (SC) and successive self-nucleation/annealing (SSA) have been adapted for this purpose, and particularly, the optimal condition of the process have been chosen to enable the best fractional crystallization of the copolymer. The method has been applied for fractionation of two ethylene/1-hexenecopolymers synthesized with supported vanadium and zirconocene catalysts and having similar concentrations of 1-hexene. Verkko-opetuksen mahdollisuus ja olemassaolo herättää paljon kysymyksiä: Kuinka paljon resursseja tarvitaan suunnitteluun? Tarvitseeko verkkoopetuksena toteutettava kurssi ”starttirahaa”? Kuluuko opettajan oman työajan lisäksi muita resursseja? Säästyykö oma työpanos tulevaisuudessa, kun ensimmäinen verkkokurssi on kerran pidetty? Mikä on opettajan rooli? Voiko verkkokurssit tehdä opettajat jopa tarpeettomiksi?
Contemporary performance art by Helena Walsh: embodiment as empowerment in an Irish context

Ever since the 1970s, performance artists have used their bodies as a means to question the patriarchal control of women. In Ireland, where the body is at the center of debates over contraception, abortion and divorce, feminist performance art has proved particularly pertinent to substitute the real experiential body to the allegorical or fetishized female body. Through her performances, Helena Walsh incites the viewers to respond to the effect of ideology on the physical body. Embodiment, impersonation and incorporation make the body explicit and reopen historical wounds.
Synthesis, structure and photophysical properties of a highly luminescent terpyridine-diphenylacetylene hybrid fluorophore and its metal complexes

A new fluorescent terpyridyl-diphenylacetylene hybrid fluorophore 4'-[4-{(4-methoxyphenyl)ethynyl}phenyl]-2,2':6',2''-terpyridine, L, was synthesized via Sonogashira cross-coupling of 4'-(4-bromophenyl)-2,2':6',2''-terpyridine and 4-ethynylanisole in the presence of Pd(PPh3)4/CuI as a catalyst. The solid state structure of L shows a trans arrangement of pyridine nitrogen atoms along the interannular bond in the terpyridine domain. Five transition metal complexes of L, {[FeL2](CF3SO3)2 (1), [ZnL2](ClO4)2 (2), [CdL2](ClO4)2 (3), [RuL2](PF6)2 (4), and PtMe3IL (5)}, have also been synthesized and characterized by spectroscopic methods and single crystal X-ray analysis. Gelatin-modified poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET) surfaces have been previously realized via an intermediate dopamine coating procedure that resulted in surfaces with superior haemocompatibility compared to unfunctionalized PET. The present study addresses the biocompatibility assessment of these coated PET surfaces. In this context, the stability of the gelatin coating upon exposure to physiological conditions and its cell-interactive properties were investigated. Abstract Sodium alginate hydrogel, stabilized with gelatin, is a suitable, biologically inert matrix that can be used for encapsulating and 3D bioprinting of bone-related SaOS-2 cells. However, the cells, embedded in this matrix, remain in a non-proliferating state. Here we show that addition of an overlay onto the bioprinted alginate/gelatine/SaOS-2 cell scaffold, consisting of agarose and the calcium salt of polyphosphate [polyP·Ca 2+ -complex], resulted in a marked increase in cell proliferation .
