Background and Aims: Michigan Hand Outcomes Questionnaire is a widely used patient-reported outcome measure in hand surgery. The aim of this study was to translate and validate the Michigan Hand Outcomes Questionnaire into Finnish for Finnish patients with hand problems following international standards and guidelines. Perceived motor competence (PMC) is important to health as it mediates the association between actual motor competence (AMC) and physical activity. Many instruments assess the broader construct of physical self-perception but no scale has been developed to assess PMC in stability. Among the measures assessing peer reputation, the Extended Class Play (ECP) is now used extensively in North American settings. Little information is available in other cultural contexts. Furthermore, practical considerations suggest developing a shorter form of the ECP to be used in socio-educational environments. This study examined the ECP dimensions of peer assessment in Italy as well as developed a shorter form of the measure. Evidence is given that demonstrates the reliability of the bihyperbolic equation, proposed by Pla-Delfina and Moreno, in fitting the correlation between absorption rate constants (ka) found in the small intestine and in the colon of the living anesthetized rat, and partition constants (1/R.F−1), for a series of phenylalkylamines, a group of compounds which differ largely from others which have been tested. Emphasis is laid on the nonexistence of an optimum of lipophilicity for intestinal absorption/partition correlation: This feature makes inapplicable the probabilistic approaches to the reported data.

Police crash reports are often the main source for official data in many countries. However, with the exception of fatal crashes, crashes are often underreported in a biased manner. Consequently, the countermeasures adopted according to them may be inefficient.
