Foro de educación

2014

Exploring health information technology implementation success factors: a comparative investigation in Nordic countries

2016

The implementation of health information technology (HIT) can improve the quality and efficiency of healthcare services. There is a gap in terms of generalising and systematising the results of previous research and in understanding HIT implementation worldwide. The majority of studies on HIT implementation have been conducted in North America, most of which are case studies or other qualitative research. In this research, we surveyed IT managers in Nordic healthcare and used factor analysis to uncover success factor groups. Six groups emerged: culture conducive to change, quality of system and service, collaboration, alignment, end-user involvement, and management commitment. We found that…

Ledelse, organisering og nådegaver i menigheter

2021

Published version of an article in the journal: Scandinavian Journal for Leadership & Theology. Also available from the publisher at: http://sjlt-journal.com/ Open Access In this article, we discuss whether leadership and organisational structure can influence and facilitate the use of spiritual gifts in congregations. The purpose is to substantiate a link and give some examples of what this relationship may be like. We argue that leaders contribute to the design of organisational structures and that they apply different leadership styles, which may have implications for the development of spiritual gifts. For instance, we try to show that proactive construction of various arenas; the size …

Mūsdienu publiskā bibliotēka Latvijas pagastos

2009

Mūsdienu publiskā bibliotēka Latvijas pagastos Anotācija Atslēgvārdi: publiskā bibliotēka, sociālekonomiskā vide, kultūrvide, daudzfunkcionalitāte, sadarbība. Promocijas darbā tiek atklāta Latvijas pagastu pašvaldību pārziņā esošo publisko bibliotēku situācija 20.gadsimta beigās un 21.gadsimta sākumā (pētījuma periods no 1997.gada līdz 2007.gadam).

Yeast cell surfaces

2006

This issue of FEMS Yeast Research includes papers presented during the XXIVth International Specialized Symposium on Yeasts (ISSY24) held under the auspices of the International Commission on Yeasts, in Oropesa del Mar, Castellon (Spain), from 28 September to 2 October 2005. Although the title of the Symposium was ‘The Cell Surface: A genomic and proteomic approach’, the meeting was broader in scope and covered advances in other areas, such as those related to morphogenesis, responses to stress, signalling and physiology, including both pathogenic and nonpathogenic yeasts and mycelial fungi as model systems for basic studies and industrially oriented applied research. The Symposium was dedi…

Análisis de la producción y el consumo de información en los artículos españoles sobre bibliometría

1996

We analyze Spanish production of papers on bibliometrics published in Spanish scientific journals and the use of information through the method of bibliographic reference analysis. Publications have been obtained from IME, ICYT and ISOC databases. The number of papers was 101 , with 1848 citations. The most important citations are to journal articles and Spanish publications, but Scientometrics is the most cited journal. Results seem to show that bibliometrics is a young discipline in our country, with an important role of classic authors. Difficulties of access to foreign bibliography produce a high use of Spanish publications. Medicine and Psychology are the most influe…

eNOS S-nitrosylates β-actin on Cys374 and regulates PKC-θ at the immune synapse by impairing actin binding to profilin-1.

2017

The actin cytoskeleton coordinates the organization of signaling microclusters at the immune synapse (IS); however, the mechanisms involved remain poorly understood. We show here that nitric oxide (NO) generated by endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS) controls the coalescence of protein kinase C-¿ (PKC-¿) at the central supramolecular activation cluster (c-SMAC) of the IS. eNOS translocated with the Golgi to the IS and partially colocalized with F-actin around the c-SMAC. This resulted in reduced actin polymerization and centripetal retrograde flow of ß-actin and PKC-¿ from the lamellipodium-like distal (d)-SMAC, promoting PKC-¿ activation. Furthermore, eNOS-derived NO S-nitrosylated ß-…

Digital Storytelling and Multimodal Literacy in Education

2014

This article argues in favour of using digital storytelling to encourage a critical socio-educational focus in education and include multimodal explicit teaching in the curriculum. The analysis of fifty digital stories indicates that the students developed a certain awareness of the issue chosen for their story (e.g. violence, racism, war) since the final product transmits a critical perspective on the topic itself. Further work, however, needs to be invested in the development of the digital story content itself and on the issue of multimodal learning, with especial emphasis on the interface between multimodal elements and more traditional modes of transmitting ideas.
