The existential dialogue should not be assimilated to a psychotherapeutic method: it is, rather, a special care relationship within an educational perspective. The figure of the amateur is emerging on the contemporary semiosphere, both in terms of scientific research and in the artistic domain. In this paper we discuss this phenomenon from the textual analysis of a song by Paolo Conte. We thus deal with the relations of mutual inter semiotic translation between music and image by showing how, in Conte, a musical compo sition can, at the level of utterance, become the theory of a given pictorial making and, at the level of enunciation, be transposed into a drawing that predicates it by its own expressive and semantic means. This paper proposes a (re)reading of the famous section in the Tractatus Logico-philosophicus, 2.1: “We picture facts to ourselves” and its relation to the similar section in the Prototractatus, 2.1: “Facts are grasped by us in images”. We reject the dominant solution that interprets the relation between facts and images as an isomorphic relation and propose that instead it is an internal relation: there are no facts that are not perceived through images. In other words: For us, linguistic animals, there is no world independent of language.
Martyrdom in Contemporary Animalist Discourses

Is it possible to use the notion of martyrdom in order to explain the communicative strategies and the semiotic mechanisms of the animalist movement? Is the animal a sort of contemporary martyr? This study aims to apply the notion of martyrdom outside the traditional boundaries of religion and politics, testing it in another relevant socio–cultural phenomenon: the contemporary animalist discourse. This paper analyses texts from animalist advertising, essays and novels promoting animal rights and vegetarianism. The Anthropocene is not a time of a crisis of nature, but a time of an epistemic one. That stimulates the semiotics of culture to take up the project of an archaeology of knowledge. In this article, we give some indications of how to deal with this in the discourse of environmental law. We will focus on the turning point of the 1960s and 1970s, which is very significant for environmental law. Le stragi di Capaci e via D’Amelio segnano un punto di svolta nel linguaggio con cui i movimenti antimafia costruiscono la memoria pubblica della violenza mafiosa. Uno dei tratti salienti di questa svolta è la proliferazione di luoghi di memoria che ruotano intorno a figure arboree. Il capostipite di questa genealogia è l’albero Falcone, noto come punto di raccolta per le manifestazioni del 23 maggio, la giornata della legalità.
