En la actualidad, no podemos obviar la existencia de un español con rasgos indígenas en Hispanoamérica. En particular, en Argentina encontramos el denominado Español andino en el norte del país, en concreto en el noroeste argentino. En esta zona observamos el contacto entre el español de Argentina y el quechua. Aunque está demostrado el contacto indígena del español en esta zona, todavía se discute hasta qué punto existe esa influencia en aspectos que vayan más allá del léxico. From the theoretical assumption that in grammaticalization processes the derivation from synthetic to analytic forms is a way of disambiguation of temporal, modal and aspectual meanings, we examine the use of synthetic and analytic structures for the expression of the rendering of future tense and of deontic and epistemic modality in contemporary Sicilian dialect. In this paper a procedure to derive synthetic flood design hydrographs (SFDH) using a bivariate representation of rainfall forcing (rainfall duration and intensity) via copulas, which describes and models the correlation between two variables independently of the marginal laws involved, coupled with a distributed rainfall–runoff model, is presented. In this brief study we will carefully analyze the uses of arribar and aplegar in mediaeval language from Curial e Güelfa. Our goal is to discover when and up to which extent both verbs, arribar and aplegar, share their meaning during the first half of the 15th century, in order to shed light on the current situation of Valencian. At the same time, we will contrast the datum of this anonymous text with former, later and contemporary works from the datum of Corpus Informatitzat del Català Antic (CICA: 2007).

Morphological variation can be considered to take place in two levels: on a superficial level of phonetic nature and on a deep level of phonological nature. This study addresses the deep level of morphological variation, of morphological variation strictly speaking. It focuses on the variations of the morphological variables, that is to say, on the actual realizations of morphological variation. There are two kinds of morphological variations: of formal and of grammatical nature.
