During the last decades, the promotion of multilingualism has been key when designing linguistic policies in Europe. Previous research studies have focused on how languages are employed in fields such as education, media, and urban sites, among others. A partir de l’anàlisi de les relacions personals i artístiques entre el pintor Antoni Miró (Alcoi, 1944) i diversos poetes catalans contemporanis com Joan Valls, Salvador Espriu, Vicent Andrés Estellés o Miquel Martí i Pol, l’article pretén abordar els límits dels discursos artístics i literaris en dues sèries de collages d’aquest artista, "La pell de brau" i "Suite de Parlavà". La identificació del camp amb la genuïnitat no és exclusiva de la cultura catalana. L’article analitza la construcció d’aquest mite en la literatura catalana del segle xix, prestant particular atenció a la derivació patriòtica que uneix paisatge, habitants i tradicions rurals amb la Catalunya real que lentament anava desapareixent com a resultat de les revolucions polítiques i industrials. El mite de la terra alta ha proporcionat símbols tan freqüentment utilitzats com ara el de la barretina (un tipus de capell) i la muntanya, així com alguns debats ben interessants sobre l’organització tradicional de la família i els contrastos entre camp-ciutat i tradició-revolució.

The lost literature of an author provides data that, in spite of being partial, are important to better understand his preserved work and the complexity of his literary work. This article offers an approach to the losses experienced by Joan Roís de Corella’s literature down the centuries, in the full meaning of the term. It focuses on the analysis of the sources that supply information to establish a catalogue of these losses, as a starting point for subsequent work concerning the causes and periods of the disappearances.
Testing audiovisual comprehension tasks with questions embedded in videos as subtitles: a pilot multimethod study

<p>Listening, watching, reading and writing simultaneously in a foreign language is very complex. This paper is part of wider research which explores the use of audiovisual comprehension questions imprinted in the video image in the form of subtitles and synchronized with the relevant fragments for the purpose of language learning and testing. Compared to viewings where the comprehension activity is available only on paper, this innovative methodology may provide some benefits. Our study focuses on how the discourse markers (DM) participate in the construction of discursive alterity. In our approach, the DM builds, for an assertion, a guarantor with its own semantics, which is the semantics of the lexical element constituting the basis of DM. Naturellement and bien entendu build referential value which ”disempowers” the speaker as a guarantor of his words. This desubjectivation is realized differently in each case analyzed, and is determined by the semantic identity of the DM.
