Degradation of Lincomycin in aqueous medium: coupling of solar photocatalysis and membrane separation
2005
Abstract The photocatalytic oxidation of a common antibiotic, the lincomycin was carried out in aqueous suspensions of polycrystalline TiO 2 Degussa P25 irradiated by sunlight. In order to improve the performance of the lincomycin degradation a hybrid system consisting of a solar photoreactor with the photocatalyst in suspension coupled with a membrane module, used to confine both photocatalyst and pollutants in the reaction environment, was tested. A preliminary study was carried out in order to determine some kinetics parameters of the drug photodegradation. The influence of initial substrate concentration on the lincomycin photooxidation rate was investigated. The photooxidation rate fol…
Protein c-phycocyanin, structure, physicochemical and biological properties, methods of extraction
2022
С-phycocyanin (phycocyanin) is a pigment-protein complex of the lightharvesting phycobiliprotein family that takes part in the primary phase of photosynthesis in lower plants. The phycocyanin content depends on such factors as the species of microalgae, physical state of biomass, extraction techniques, etc. The main methods for obtaining phycocyanin from biomass include chemical, physical and enzyme treatments with the following purification by such methods as precipitation with ammonium sulfate, ion exchange chromatography, and gel filtration chromatography. The commercial value of phycocyanin is directly related to the methods of its obtaining, purification and purity. The ratio of absorb…
The Basic Psychological Needs in Physical Education Scale in Filipino: An Exploratory Factor Analysis
2014
Fulfillment of students’ basic psychological needs in school physical education is essential for their optimal motivation and well-being. The present study aimed to: (1) translate the Basic Psychological Needs in Physical Education Scale (BPNPE Scale; Vlachopoulos, Katarzi, & Kontou, 2011) to Filipino, and (2) examine the reliability and validity of the Filipino version. Instrument translation was conducted using a committee-approach back-translation procedure. The Filipino version was then administered to 408 public high school students from Metro Manila during one of their PE classes. Results showed that internal consistency reliabilities of the subscales were adequate with alphas ranging…
Cold Exposure Affects Lipid Metabolism, Fatty Acids Composition and Transcription in Pig Skeletal Muscle
2021
Cold exposure promotes glucose oxidation and modulates the lipid metabolism in adipose tissue, but it is still not fully clear whether cold exposure could affect meat quality and fatty acid metabolism in skeletal muscle of pig in vivo. Here, we kept finishing pigs under cold or room temperature overnight and determined the effects of cold exposure on meat quality, fatty acids composition and transcriptional changes in skeletal muscle of pigs. We found that cold exposure significantly reduced the meat colour24 h and pH24 h, without affecting carcass characteristics and other meat quality traits. Considerable changes were found in the proportions of individual fatty acids and the total conten…
Use intention of SaaS employee advocacy platform : case SmarpShare

Työntekijälähettilyys vaikuttaa jo nykypäivänä vahvasti siihen, miten yritykset toteuttavat markkinointia, viestintää ja brändityötä. Työntekijälähettilyyden toteuttamiseen on tarjolla pilvipalveluita.
Artistic and religious Patronage of the Duke of Lerma in the Kingdom of València
2020

Varying plant protein sources in the diet of sea bass Dicentrarchus labrax differently affects lipid metabolism and deposition
2010
The liver activity of lipogenic enzymes, the lipid content in various tissues, and plasma lipid levels of major, were measured in sea bass (D. labrax) fed over 96 days either a, fish meal-based control diet or preparations where 70% of fish meal protein was replaced by wheat gluten singly or in combination with pea or soybean meals. Relative to the controls, sea bass fed the wheat gluten-based diet resulted in stimulated lipogenesis in liver and increased lipid deposition in muscle. The opposite occurred when a substantial amount of soybean meal was included in the diet. Mesenteric fat depots were apparently insensitive to major changes in dietary protein source in fish showing similar inta…
