This is integral as agencies are plagued with financial and time constraint issues. Adaptive Large Neighborhood Search with a Constant-Time Feasibility Test for the Dial-a-Ride Problem

In the dial-a-ride problem, user-specified transport requests from origin to destination points have to be served by a fleet of homogeneous vehicles. The problem variant we consider aims at finding a set of minimum-cost routes satisfying constraints on vehicle capacity, time windows, maximum route duration, and maximum user ride times. We propose an adaptive large neighborhood search (ALNS) for its solution. The key novelty of the approach is an exact amortized constant-time algorithm for evaluating the feasibility of request insertions in the repair steps of the ALNS. L’étude du seul traité irlandais sur la consécration des églises (xie siècle) et sa comparaison avec les sacramentaires et ordines du viiie siècle permettent de relever des analogies avec la liturgie gallicane, mêlée de quelques éléments orientaux. La découverte d’un schéma de dédicace dans le ms 477 d’Angers (ixe siècle), d’origine bretonne (Landévennec) et d’influence irlandaise, confirme quant à elle les singularités du rituel irlandais : inscription d’un double alphabet latin sur le sol ; utilisation de psaumes de malédiction ; circumambulation de l’église en récitant des psaumes graduels. Celles-ci s’inscrivent dans la longue histoire des intellectuels desireux d’aller au peuple et notamment vers les ouvriers. Mais elles s’accelerent dans un certain nombre de mobilisations du debut des annees 1960. En mai-juin 1968, a la faveur de la desectorisation de l’espace social, ces rencontres improbables connaissent trois formes exemplaires : autour des ouvriers s’agregent ainsi des etudiants, des techniciens et des cadres, des paysans enfin. Quine’s Fluted Fragment is Non-elementary

We study the fluted fragment, a decidable fragment of first-order logic with an unbounded number of variables, originally identified by W.V. Quine. We show that the satisfiability problem for this fragment has non-elementary complexity, thus refuting an earlier published claim by W.C. Purdy that it is in NExpTime. More precisely, we consider, for all m greater than 1, the intersectionof the fluted fragment and the m-variable fragment of first-order logic. We show that this subfragment forces (m/2)-tuply exponentially large models, and that its satisfiability problem is (m/2)-NExpTime-hard.
