En este artículo nos proponemos una primera aproximación a un auto religioso inédito de fines del siglo XVI titulado "Auto de la cena a lo divino", tomando como eje articulatorio del mismo la estrategia comunicativa que el anónimo dramaturgo lleva a cabo con la noción de silencio. En la primera parte analizaremos ampliamente el modo en que el autor se sirve de la ausencia de palabras para crear una atmósfera ritual y celebrativa que vincula esta pieza dramática con la liturgia. Artykuł podejmuje problematykę sztuki figuratywnej w teologicznej przestrzeni tradycji Kościołów syryjskich. Chociaż wspólnoty te w początkowym stadium rozwoju stanowiły integralną część Cesarstwa Wschodniorzymskiego, to jednak wypracowały zupełnie inny model obrazowania, którym nie są ikony czy też inne formy malarskie. Głównym sposobem malowania teologii było dla Syryjczyków słowo. We wszystkich tradycjach liturgicznych świata chrześcijańskiego Boże Narodzenie poprzedzone jest okresem przygotowania. Z teologicznego punktu widzenia ten okres, Adwent, posiada podwójny wymiar: eschatologiczny oraz nawiązujący do tajemnicy Wcielenia Jezusa Chrystusa. W tradycjach Kościołów syryjskich kolejne niedziele przygotowania do Bożego Narodzenia koncentrują się na przekazanych w Ewangeliach tzw. „zwiastowaniach” (syr.: subārā). Niniejszy artykuł stanowi próbę zarysu idei teologicznych obecnych w euchologii adwentowej Kościołów syryjskich.

With the expansion of Islam, the patriarchates of Antioch, Jerusalem, and Alexandria were divided from the Byzantine Empire. The Orthodox Christians there still defined themselves as Byzantine Orthodox and began to adapt their liturgical customs by adopting Byzantine liturgical books. When Greek was not understood any longer, they began to translate and copy their liturgical books, thereby creating their own branch of tradition, which is marked by multilingualism, reception of their own Bible tradition as well as the exclusion of “neo-martyrs” from their calendar of saints.

The subject of this study is one of the central truths of liturgical theology, especially of the theology of the Word of God, which in some aspects were re-discovered by the Second Vatican Council. In the first part, the author addresses the ąuestion of presence of Christ in the Liturgy of the Word, where Hc Himself speaks and sanctifies. In the second part, our attention is focused on the presence of the Holy Spirit in the Liturgy of the Word.
