Prospective analysis of the influence of sport and educational factors on the prevalence and initiation of smoking in older adolescents from Croatia

The prevalence of smoking among Croatian adolescents is alarmingly high, but no previous study has prospectively examined the sport- and academic-factors associated with smoking and smoking initiation. This study aimed to prospectively examine the associations between scholastic (educational) achievement and sport factors and smoking in 16- to 18-year-old adolescents. This two-year prospective cohort study included 644 adolescents who were 16 years of age at baseline (46% females). Multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) methods are chosen among alternatives in order to attain specific objectives. In this research, the purpose of methodology is to provide decision methods for project managers in city logistics. The methodology is combined into two methods consisting of Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS). As the result, the criteria for selection are determined by expert opinions, and then assign the weight of criteria by AHP. The concepts of city logistics its not new, they are implemented since the 80's of the XX century, but to this time they didn't bring any effect. The communications problem in the agglomerations are bigger and bigger. It makes that searching a new Solutions (e.g. intelligent information and communication system) is necessary. The use of this Systems makes that city and logistic are becoming smart. The aim of this article is to present intelligent solutions, which can be implemented to city logistics.
