Natural water resources are becoming increasingly limited due to global-scale climate change and water availability issues have become so severe that they must be addressed. Given these issues, reuse of wastewater and rainwater provides a promising way to cope with water shortages. This paper describes an investigation into the efficiency of rainwater usage systems. A conceptual model was built to assess the behaviour of rainwater tanks and their effectiveness in coping with water shortages. Acute morphine administration produces hyperactivity in most strains of mice and some studies indicate that repeated treatment can induce a potentiation of this effect (sensitisation). With the object of determining whether the hyperactivity induced by morphine in OF1 mice shows sensitisation after repeated administration, we tested the effect of the pre-exposure to six daily injections of morphine on the subsequent hyperactivity induced by the same dose of this drug. We examined the relationship between unobserved risk preferences and four insurance purchase decisions: health Medigap insurance, long-term insurance, life insurance and annuity.
