Scopo di questo lavoro è un’analisi dell’uso non canonico della congiunzione piuttosto che: si tenterà di tracciare il percorso responsabile del mutamento sintattico e semantico che conduce dall’uso subordinativo a quello coordinativo. Nel suo uso canonico l’avverbio piuttosto, seguito da che, funge da congiunzione utilizzata per introdurre una comparazione tra due entità definite o tra due frasi, instaurando, dunque, in entrambi i casi, un rapporto di subordinazione. Cette étude analyse l’image de la femme dans les placards publicitaires des croisières. Ces images sont remarquables pour deux raisons. D’abord elles montrent les aspects socioculturels qui tournent autour de l’image féminine dans le tourisme en posant des réflexions épistémologiques sur le féminisme. Ensuite elles utilisent des stratégies sémiotiques et linguistiques qui jouent un rôle fondamental dans la mise en désir des destinations touristiques. Reversive constructions in Latin: the case of re- (and dis-)

This paper proposes a cognitive account on re- and dis- verbs based on the scrutiny of the Plautine corpus and Cato’s De agricultura. Re- and dis- exhibit significant differences as to the manner in which they come to a reversive function, and these differences can be traced back to the basic conceptual import of the two prefixes: while dis- is schematically connected with the idea of separation into two parts, re- basically refers to a rearward/reditive trajectory, connecting a point that has already been reached to the starting point. Universal Patterns in Color-Emotion Associations Are Further Shaped by Linguistic and Geographic Proximity

Many of us “see red,” “feel blue,” or “turn green with envy.” Are such color-emotion associations fundamental to our shared cognitive architecture, or are they cultural creations learned through our languages and traditions? To answer these questions, we tested emotional associations of colors in 4,598 participants from 30 nations speaking 22 native languages. Participants associated 20 emotion concepts with 12 color terms. Pattern-similarity analyses revealed universal color-emotion associations (average similarity coefficient r = .88). The need for studies on the history of dependency linguistics has been recently pointed out, aiming at tracing back to the origin of hierarchical grammatical relations and dependency-oriented approaches before the advent of the most renowned Tesnière’s model (Imrényi/Mazziotta 2020a). This study investigates on the emergence of the concept of syntactic dependency in missionary linguistics, focusing on the role of Jesuit grammarians on the development of the notion of subordination. L'articolo descrive brevemente la storia dell'area e dello sviluppo del ladino, e in seguito descrive le caratteristiche fonologiche, morfologiche, sintattiche e lessicali principali del ladino, che lo distinguono dalle vicine varietà italoromanze.
