El presente trabajo se aboca al análisis de las transposiciones que realizara Alberto Breccia de Los mitos de Chtulhu de H. P Lovecraft durante la década del setenta. Proponemos que efectivamente existe una relación entre esta etapa de mayor experimentación formal de Breccia —cuyas técnicas se vinculan estrechamente con las vanguardias pictóricas— y sus elecciones temáticas, es decir, la selección de ciertos clásicos literarios vinculados al horror y a la literatura gótica a partir de los cuales el autor llevará a cabo sus innovadoras versiones historietísticas. Iedomu valodas: H.F. Lavkrafta grāmatas “Kthulhu aicinājums” un tās latviskā tulkojuma analīze

Izdomu valodas ir paredzētas būt par neatliekamu un visai svarīgu daļu izdomu pasaulēm daiļliteratūrā (un ne tikai), un ir bieži izgudrotas ar nolūku padarīt izdomu pasaules ticamākas. Daudzi slaveni rakstnieki jau senos laikos ir iepazīstinājuši daiļliteratūras lasītājus ar savām izdomu valodām. Šis maģistra darbs ir par Hovarda Filipsa Lavkrafta izdomu valodu “R’lje”, kura pastāv viņa pat izdomātā pasaulē ar nosaukumu “Cthulhu Mythos”. Šo valodu var sastapt vairākās grāmatās, filmā un arī videospēlē, bet šis maģistra darbs būs vairāk koncentrēts uz to valodu, kura sastopama tikai grāmatās un videospēlē. The setting of “The Transition of Juan Romero” – the short story by Howard Phillips Lovecraft, who was the originator of modern American horror fiction – is “the gold mine in the Cactus Range”. Drawing on the theories of Carl Gustav Jung, the author of the present interpretation amplifies the cultural dimensions of Lovecraft’s text, giving prominence to its origin from the ancient myths of the Aztecs, and using the so-called psychological alchemy to show the archetypal symbolism and structure of the story.
