The main objective of this work is to know the perception of the undergraduate and master students of the three Galician universities about the plagiarism commission and check the relationship between it and the citation of documentary sources as a criterion for the evaluation of academics works by teachers of the different knowledge areas. The sample is made up of 8.943 students, with an approximate average age of 21 years, approximately 66% of women and from all knowledge areas. In the run-up to the elections to the European Parliament in 2014, EU citizens had the unprecedented opportunity to watch televised debates between the candidates running for president of the European Commission. The most important debate was the so-called "Eurovision debate", which was broadcasted in almost all EU member states. In this study we explore the responses of a sample of 110 young German voters, who watched this debate, to the candidates' messages and whether exposure to the debate caused a shift in the respondents' attitudes towards the EU. The first part of this paper revisits the rationale for examining historical views on translation and offers examples of questions that can help researchers—particularly those new to the study of translation history—contextualize and evaluate historical writings on translation. The second part applies some of these questions to a study of the relatively unknown writings of Motoki Ryōei, an eighteenth-century Japanese translator of European scientific works, in an indirect attempt to demonstrate how such questions, although best combined with a more holistic framework, can help researchers delve beyond the obvious historical facts
Metacognitive approach to evaluation in teaching

The aim of this study is to analyze the teaching evaluation from the metacognitive strategy. From this perspective, we study how it can allow self-monitoring and changing of the process. We must consider the evaluation not only as a product, if it is in this way, but that the teaching should be evaluated depending on the process. The metacognitive approach of evaluation could increase the ecological validity, because it seems to favor both constant feed-back from the teaching method according to personal context and the consideration of unforeseen objectives.
