Antroponīmu ar detoponīmiskajiem pievārdiem atveide “Nībelungu dziesmas” tulkojumā latviešu valodā
2020
Bakalaura darbs veltīts antroponīmikai senvācu eposā „Nībelungu dziesma“, iedziļinoties antroponīmu ar detoponīmiskajiem pievārdiem atveides problemātikā. Pētījums veikts ar mērķi izstrādāt stratēģijas to atveidei latviešu valodā, turpinot veidot zinātnisku pamatu eposa latviskojumam.
Centile estimation for a proportion response variable.
2015
This paper introduces two general models for computing centiles when the response variable Y can take values between 0 and 1, inclusive of 0 or 1. The models developed are more flexible alternatives to the beta inflated distribution. The first proposed model employs a flexible four parameter logit skew Student t (logitSST) distribution to model the response variable Y on the unit interval (0, 1), excluding 0 and 1. This model is then extended to the inflated logitSST distribution for Y on the unit interval, including 1. The second model developed in this paper is a generalised Tobit model for Y on the unit interval, including 1. Applying these two models to (1-Y) rather than Y enables model…
Figli adulti di divorzi ostili
2021
CONSEQUENCES OF AAS DOPING: AN OVERVIEW OF SHORT AND LONG TERM EFFECTS
2012
AAS, if taken in overphysiological doses, may increase muscle strenght and lean body mass, while they don't seem to have effects on endurance performance and on fat mass. Because of the widespread use of these substances, the focus is on their related side effects. The effects on the reproductive system seem to be quite important and they may induce some changes as far as libido and (temporary) infertility are concerned. In recent years it has become clear that AAS can have significant impacts on psyche and behaviour. Researches and future studies should focus their attention primarily on the short and long term effects due to the discontinuous use of AAS and on the long term health effects…
Towards Translational ImmunoPET/MR Imaging of Invasive Pulmonary Aspergillosis: The Humanised Monoclonal Antibody JF5 Detects Aspergillus Lung Infect…
2017
Invasive pulmonary aspergillosis (IPA) is a life-threatening lung disease of hematological malignancy or bone marrow transplant patients caused by the ubiquitous environmental fungus Aspergillus fumigatus. Current diagnostic tests for the disease lack sensitivity as well as specificity, and culture of the fungus from invasive lung biopsy, considered the gold standard for IPA detection, is slow and often not possible in critically ill patients. In a previous study, we reported the development of a novel non-invasive procedure for IPA diagnosis based on antibody-guided positron emission tomography and magnetic resonance imaging (immunoPET/MRI) using a [64Cu] DOTA-labeled mouse monoclonal anti…
Drug-induced infiltrative lung disease
2009
International audience; Because the lung manifestations of drugs may be highly variable, a high index of suspicion is required. Both current and past drug intake should be carefully evaluated in any patient with infiltrative lung disease. Drug-induced infiltrative lung disease may manifest as variable clinical radiological patterns, including subacute or chronic interstitial pneumonia, pulmonary fibrosis, eosinophilic pneumonia (presenting as Loffler syndrome, or chronic or acute eosinophilic pneumonia), organising pneumonia, diffuse alveolar haemorrhage, acute respiratory distress syndrome, pulmonary oedema, lipoid pneumonia, alveolar proteinosis or sarcoidosis. A variety of drugs have bee…
Un secteur d'habitat du haut Moyen Âge (VIIe-XIIe siècle) et son espace funéraire à Pfulgriesheim, Rue du Levant (Bas-Rhin)
2022
The preventive archaeological excavations conducted by Inrap under the direction of Édith Peytremann in 2010, in the commune of Pfulgriesheim in the Kochersberg region, led to the discovery of a settlement sector occupied from the middle of the 7th century to the end of the 11th century. The singularity of the site lies in the absence of any pole constructions and the subdivision of the sector, from the 10th century onwards, by building on cellars associated with excavated huts, pits, and silos. The dynamics tend to show a retraction of the latter from the beginning of the 8th century to the middle of the 10th century, while it is marked by the presence of a funerary complex arranged along …
Measurement of the energy distribution of electrons escaping minimum-B ECR plasmas
2017
The measurement of the electron energy distribution (EED) of electrons escaping axially from a minimum-B electron cyclotron resonance ion source (ECRIS) is reported. The experimental data were recorded with a room-temperature 14 GHz ECRIS at the JYFL accelerator laboratory. The electrons escaping through the extraction mirror of the ion source were detected with a secondary electron amplifier placed downstream from a dipole magnet serving as an electron spectrometer with 500 eV resolution. It was discovered that the EED in the range of 5–250 keV is strongly non-Maxwellian and exhibits several local maxima below 20 keV energy. It was observed that the most influential ion source operating pa…
High-Precision Measurements of the Bound Electron’s Magnetic Moment
2017
Highly charged ions represent environments that allow to study precisely one or more bound electrons subjected to unsurpassed electromagnetic fields. Under such conditions, the magnetic moment (g-factor) of a bound electron changes significantly, to a large extent due to contributions from quantum electrodynamics. We present three Penning-trap experiments, which allow to measure magnetic moments with ppb precision and better, serving as stringent tests of corresponding calculations, and also yielding access to fundamental quantities like the fine structure constant α and the atomic mass of the electron. Additionally, the bound electrons can be used as sensitive probes for properties of the …
A CRF-Producing and -Secreting Tumor of the Lung
1986
Corticotropin-releasing factor (CRF) has recently been isolated from ovine hypothalamus, characterized chemically, and synthesized. Upton and Amatruda (1971) first suggested that CRF-like activity occurred in neoplastic tissues, and Hashimoto et al. (1980) subsequently detected CRF-like activity in an extract of an ACTHproducing nephroblastoma. Recently, Carey et al. (1984) and Asa et al. (1984) used immunocytochemical techniques to demonstrate CRF in postmortem tumor material obtained from patients with a carcinoma of the prostate and an intrasellar gangliocytoma.
