INTRODUCCIÓN Y OBJETIVOS: La taquicardia ventricular (TV) es una arritmia peligrosa y una causa importante de muerte súbita en pacientes que han padecido un infarto previo. Las escaras ventriculares tras infarto son un sustrato que favorece la reentrada eléctrica, que es el mecanismo más frecuente de taquicardia ventricular. Intentar entender el potencial arritmogénico de la escara ayudaría por una parte a identificar precozmente pacientes en riesgo de padecer taquicardias ventriculares de lo que podrían derivar actuaciones clínicas, y por otra parte, su tratamiento una vez se ha presentado la arritmia, modificando las características de dicha escara mediante ablación con catéter. Dysbaric accidents are usually referred to compressed air-supplied diving. Nonetheless, some cases of decompression illness are known to have occurred among breath-hold (BH) divers also, and they are reported in the medical literature. A male BH diver (57 years old), underwater fishing champion, presented neurological disorders as dizziness, sensory numbness, blurred vision, and left frontoparietal pain after many dives to a 30–35 meters sea water depth with short surface intervals. Cette dernière consiste à insérer dans l'image médicale les informations qui concernent la signature de centre hospitalier et les données du patient. Elle doit permettre d'assuré l'intégrité, la confidentialité des données lors de leur partage, et la robustesse aux différents types d'attaques (compression JPEG, Copier-coller, transformations géométriques, etc).

Presentiamo i risultati preliminari ottenuti con la prima istallazione italiana di un’apparecchiatura per la neurochirurgia funzionale mediante ultrasuoni focalizzati ad alta intensità su guida RM (trans-cranial MRI-guided Focused Ultrasound Surgery, tcMRgFUS); si tratta tra l’altro della prima apparecchiatura tcMRgFUS al mondo mai installata su uno scanner RM da 1,5T. Non-stationary dynamo and magnetospheric accretion processes of the classical T Tauri star V2129 Oph

We report here the first results of a multiwavelength campaign focussing on magnetospheric accretion processes of the classical T Tauri star V2129 Oph. In this paper, we present spectropolarimetric observations collected in 2009 July with ESPaDOnS at the Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope and contemporaneous photometry secured with the SMARTS facility. Circularly polarized Zeeman signatures are clearly detected, both in photospheric absorption and accretion-powered emission lines, from time-series of which we reconstruct new maps of the magnetic field, photospheric brightness and accretion-powered emission at the surface of V2129 Oph using our newest tomographic imaging tool - to be compared wi…

Chandra study of the eclipsing M dwarf binary, YY Gem

The eclipsing M dwarf binary system, YY Gem, was observed using Chandra covering 140 ks (2Prot) in total, split into two even exposures separated by 0.76 d (0.94 Prot). The system was extremely active: three energetic flares were observed over the course of these observations. The flaring and non-flaring states of the system are analysed in this paper. The activity level increased between the first and second observations even during the quiescent (non-flaring) phases. An analysis of the dynamics of the X-ray-emitting plasma suggests that both components are significantly active.
