Suomessa ikääntyvä yhteiskunta ja hyvinvointivaltion rahoituskriisi haastavat nykyisen hoivapalvelujärjestelmän. Tähän haasteeseen pyritään osittain vastaamaan hallituksen kärkihankkeella, jossa kehitetään koti- ja omaishoitoa. Omaishoito asettuu julkisen ja yksityisen, hoivan ja työn välimaastoon ja se koskettaa erityisesti ikääntyneitä ja vammaisia henkilöitä. Kärkihanke liittyy tiiviisti myös sosiaali- ja terveyspalvelu-uudistukseen, jonka tavoitteena on asiakaslähtöiset ja kustannustehokkaat palvelut. Polimēru kompozītmateriālam tiek realizēta funkcija mehānisko bojājumu indicēšanai ar vizualizācijas paņēmienu, kurai nepieciešams novērtēt komponenšu fizikālās īpašības. Pamata komponente vizualizēšanas procesā ir mikrokapsulas, kurām elastības moduli ir iespējams noteikt tiešā un netiešā veidā. Tiešā veidā pildvielu elastības moduļa noteikšanai, kad pildviela ir mikro izmēra, ir nepieciešama specifiska aparatūra, bet, lai iegūtu sākuma informāciju un priekšstatu par materiālu, pietiek ar mērīšanu netiešā veidā. In this article, we analyze the management and political implications of COVID-19 in two small countries located at the EU’s north-eastern border: Finland and Estonia. Culturally, ethnically, and linguistically, they share a common Finno-Ugrian identity. Politically, both are parliamentary republics run by coalition governments. They were among the first countries in Europe to reopen borders for travel in June 2020 after almost three months of lockdown. Age and sex-based differences in functional strength of adults participating in Special Olympics

Muscular strength is a critical component of physical health. The aim of this cross-sectional study was to examine age- and sex-based differences in functional strength and rates of referral for education in a large international sample of Special Olympics athletes. A total of 30,358 (male = 19,661) adult (20–69 years old) athlete functional strength records were utilized from the Special Olympics Healthy Athletes database. Descriptive statistics were computed for the following tests: timed sit to stand, partial sit-up, grip strength, and seated push-up. BaMgSiO4:Fe ir viens no visizteiksmīgākajiem neorganiskajiem fotohromiem materiāliem, tomēr fotohromā efekta izcelsme BaMgSiO4:Fe nav viennozīmīgi izskaidrota. Darbā ir sintezēti BaMgSiO4:Fe paraugi, un tie ir pētīti ar difūzās atstarošanās optiskās spektroskopijas un elektronu paramagnētiskās rezonanses (EPR) spektroskopijas metodēm. Darbā apspriesta fotohromā efekta izcelsme BaMgSiO4:Fe, kā arī noteikta optimālā Fe koncentrācija un sintēzes apstākļi efekta pastiprināšanai.
