Il Progetto NE.FO.DO. (Neuroscienze ed Alta Formazione del Docente di Lingua Straniera) ha preso le mosse da tali assunti ed ha sviluppato una ricerca–intervento in due fasi. Nella prima, un gruppo docenti di LS, in servizio nelle scuole di Palermo, guidato dai ricercatori, ha validato alcuni percorsi di Neurodidattica della lingua straniera nella scuola primaria e nella scuola secondaria. Nella seconda fase, le metodologie validate sono diventate oggetto di un Master di II livello per docenti di LS, attivato in duplice edizione presso l’Università di Palermo con il supporto della Regione Sicilia sui fondi FSE 2011-2013. Fingerprint classification is a key issue in automatic fingerprint identification systems. One of the main goals is to reduce the item search time within the fingerprint database without affecting the accuracy rate. In this paper, a novel technique, based on topological information, for efficient fingerprint classification is described. The proposed system is composed of two independent modules: the former module, based on Fuzzy C-Means, extracts the best set of training images, the latter module, based on Fuzzy C-Means and Naive Bayes classifier, assigns a class to each processed fingerprint using only directional image information. Ontologies have been designed to capture the semantic knowledge of a domain in a machine understandable form. Current standards for managing ontologies like OWL are lacking in linguistic grounding, and are not able to achieve a clear link with natural language. Bridging this gap, unskilled users could be able to infer the information described in the ontology and it would be possible either producing or parsing utterances about the represented domain automatically. In this paper we present a technique for object recognition and modelling based on local image features matching. Given a complete set of views of an object the goal of our technique is the recognition of the same object in an image of a cluttered environment containing the object and an estimate of its pose. The method is based on visual modeling of objects from a multi-view representation of the object to recognize. The first step consists of creating object model, selecting a subset of the available views using SIFT descriptors to evaluate image similarity and relevance. Quantitative evaluation of the drought adaptation processes of crops is an important prerequisite for efficient irrigation management. Modeling the plant response under water stress conditions is crucial to identify the exact irrigation timing. Assessment of any water stress function requires the knowledge of its shape and then the estimation of critical thresholds of the soil water status, below which a strong reduction of plant transpiration occurs. A partire da un contributo di Giovanni Manetti (2016) si ripercorre la contrapposizione fra linguaggio esteriore e linguaggio interiore nella tradizione filosofica greca. Si delineano due posizioni di fondo: la posizione discontinuista, rappresentata dagli Stoici, nega etica e razionalità agli animali, perché privi di 'linguaggio interiore' (logos endiathetos), ossia di ragione (logos), anche se capaci di imitare il linguaggio proferito (logos prophorikòs).
