Presentamos los resultados de una investigación enfocada a mejorar el aprendizaje de la geometría y la adquisición de destrezas de razonamiento matemático de estudiantes de 2.º año medio de centros de enseñanza secundaria vulnerables de Chile. Se ha diseñado un experimento de enseñanza, con grupos experimental y control, basado en una unidad de enseñanza, diseñada de acuerdo con los niveles y las fases de Van Hiele, y en un pretest y un postest, para evaluar el cambio en el nivel de razonamiento de los estudiantes derivado de la intervención. The preparation of histidine enriched dendritic peptide amphiphiles and their self-assembly into multicomponent pH-switchable supramolecular polymers is reported. Alternating histidine and phenylalanine peptide synthons allow the assembly/disassembly to be adjusted in a physiologically relevant range of pH 5.3-6.0. Coassembly of monomers equipped with dendritic tetraethylene glycol chains with monomers bearing peripheral primary amine groups leads to nanorods with a tunable cationic surface charge density. [EN] o-Carborane derivatives with precisely defined patterns of substitution have been prepared from 8,9,10,12-I-4-1,2-closo-C2B10H8 by replacing the iodine atoms, bonded to four adjacent boron vertices in the cluster, with allyl, and subsequently 3-hydroxypropyl groups. The resulting structures, comprising four pendant arms and two reactive vertices located on opposite sides of a central o-carborane core, can be envisaged as versatile precursors for dendritic growth

A novel series of dinuclear copper(II) pyrazolenophanes of the formula [Cu2(μ-4-Mepz)2(μ-ClO4)(ClO4)(bpm)2] (1), [Cu2(μ-pz)2(μ-H2O)(ClO4)(4,7-Me2phen)2]ClO4·H2O·CH3CN (2), [Cu2(μ-pz)2(μ-H2O)(ClO4)3/2(H2O)1/2(phen)2]2[Cu2(μ-pz)2(μ-ClO4)(ClO4)2(phen)2]·8H2O (3), and [Cu2(μ-pz)2(CH3CN)2(3,4,7,8-Me4phen)2](ClO4)2 (4) (Hpz = pyrazole, H-4-Mepz = 4-methylpyrazole, bpm = 2,2'-bipyrimidine, phen = 1,10-phenanthroline, 4,7-Me2phen = 4,7-dimethyl-1,10-phenanthroline, and 3,4,7,8-Me4phen = 3,4,7,8-tetramethyl-1,10-phenanthroline) have been synthesized and magneto-structurally investigated. Since the beginning of the 1980s, playing in pop ensembles and rock ensembles has been an integrated part of both Swedish music teacher education and the Swedish national curricula for music. However, there is little research on ensemble playing and teaching in Swedish schools, and even less so on the assessment and the criteria for assessment of this practice. Artificially inscribed defects in opal photonic crystals

Opals are three-dimensional photonic crystals, self-assembled from dielectric spherical beads into a face-centered cubic lattice. By introducing intentional defects in the crystal lattice, one modifies features such as spontaneous emission and the directionality of diffracted light. We here present a method for the artificial introduction of a lattice of such intentional defects in self-assembled poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) photonic crystals by means of electron beam lithography. The inscribed defects are of the size of an individual bead, providing a broad spectral range between adjacent resonance peaks.
