ScalarΛNandΛΛinteraction in a chiral unitary approach
2006
We study the central part of the {lambda}N and {lambda}{lambda} potential by considering the correlated and uncorrelated two-meson exchange in addition to the {omega} exchange contribution. The correlated two-meson exchange is evaluated within a chiral unitary approach. We find that a short-range repulsion is generated by the correlated two-meson potential, which also produces an attraction in the intermediate-distance region. The uncorrelated two-meson exchange produces a sizable attraction in all cases that is counterbalanced by the {omega} exchange contribution.
Bmeson decays to charmless meson pairs containingηorη′mesons
2009
We present updated measurements of the branching fractions for B-0 meson decays to eta K-0, eta eta, eta phi, eta omega, eta K-'(0), eta(')eta('), eta(')phi, and eta(')omega, and branching fractions and CP-violating charge asymmetries for B+ decays to eta pi(+), eta K+, eta(')pi(+), and eta K-'(+). The data represent the full data set of 467x10(6) BB pairs collected with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy e(+)e(-) collider at the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory. Besides large signals for the four charged B decay modes and for B-0 ->eta K-'(0), we find evidence for three B-0 decay modes at greater than 3.0 sigma significance. We find B(B-0 ->eta K-0)=(1.15(-0.38)(+0.43)+…
Evidence for the decayX(3872)→J/ψω
2010
We present a study of the decays B^(0,+)→J/ψπ^+π^-π^0K^(0,+), using 467×10^6 BB[overbar] pairs recorded with the BABAR detector. We present evidence for the decay mode X(3872)→J/ψω, with product branching fractions B(B^+→X(3872)K^+)×B(X(3872)→J/ψω)=[0.6±0.2(stat)±0.1(syst)]×10^(-5), and B(B^0→X(3872)K^0)×B(X(3872)→J/ψω)=[0.6±0.3(stat)±0.1(syst)]×10^(-5). A detailed study of the π^+π^-π^0 mass distribution from X(3872) decay favors a negative-parity assignment.
Observation ofBmeson decays toωK*and improved measurements forωρandωf0
2009
We present measurements of B meson decays to the final states {omega}K*, {omega}{rho}, and {omega}f{sub 0}, where K* indicates a spin 0, 1, or 2 strange meson. The data sample corresponds to 465 x 10{sup 6} B{bar B} pairs collected with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II e{sup +}e{sup -} collider at SLAC. B meson decays involving vector-scalar, vector-vector, and vector-tensor final states are analyzed; the latter two shed new light on the polarization of these final states. We measure the branching fractions for nine of these decays; five are observed for the first time. For most decays we also measure the charge asymmetry and, where relevant, the longitudinal polarization f{sub L}.
Observation of electromagnetic Dalitz decaysJ/ψ→Pe+e−
2014
Based on a sample of (225.3 +/- 2.8) x 10(6) J/psi events collected with the BESIII detector, the electromagnetic Dalitz decays of J/psi -> Pe(+)e(-)(P = eta'/eta/pi(0)) are studied. By reconstructing the pseudoscalar mesons in various decay modes, the decays J/psi -> eta'e(+)e(-), J/psi -> eta e(+)e(-), and J/psi -> pi(0)e(+)e(-) are observed for the first time. The branching fractions are determined to be B(J/psi -> eta'e(+)e(-)) = (5.81 +/- 0.16 +/- 0.31) x 10(-5), B(J/psi -> eta e(+)e(-)) = (1.16 +/- 0.07 +/- 0.06) x 10(-5), and B(J/psi -> pi(0)e(+)e(-)) = (7.56 +/- 1.32 +/- 0.50) x 10(-7), where the first errors are statistical and the second ones systematic.
New interpretation for theDs2*(2573)and the prediction of novel exotic charmed mesons
2010
In this manuscript we study the vector-vector interaction within the hidden-gauge formalism in a coupled channel unitary approach. In the sector $C=1$, $S=1$, $J=2$ we get a pole in the $T$ matrix around 2572 MeV that we identify with the ${D}_{s2}^{*}(2573)$, coupling strongly to the ${D}^{*}{K}^{*}({D}_{s}^{*}\ensuremath{\phi}(\ensuremath{\omega}))$ channels. In addition we obtain resonances in other exotic sectors which have not been studied before such as $C=1$, $S=\ensuremath{-}1$, $C=2$, $S=0$ and $C=2$, $S=1$. These ``flavor-exotic'' states are interpreted as ${D}^{*}{\overline{K}}^{*}$, ${D}^{*}{D}^{*}$, and ${D}_{s}^{*}{D}^{*}$ molecular states but have not been observed yet. In to…
$J/\psi$ reaction mechanisms and suppression in the nuclear medium
2012
Recent studies of the interaction of vector mesons with nuclei make possible and opportune the study of the interaction of the $J/\psi$ with nuclei and the investigation of the origin of the $J/\psi$ suppression in its propagation thorough a nuclear medium. We observe that the transition of $J/\psi N$ to $VN$ with $V$ being a light vector, $\rho, \omega,\phi$, together with the inelastic channels, $J/\psi N \to \bar D \Lambda_c$ and $J/\psi N \to \bar D \Sigma_c$ leads to a particular shape of the inelastic cross section. Analogously, we consider the mechanisms where the exchanged $D$ collides with a nucleon and gives $\pi \Lambda_c$ or $\pi \Sigma_c$. The cross section has a peak around $\…
Consistent Treatment of Relativistic Effects in Electrodisintegration of the Deuteron
1996
The influence of relativistic contributions to deuteron electrodisintegration is systematically studied in various kinematic regions of energy and momentum transfer. As theoretical framework the equation-of-motion and the unitarily equivalent S-matrix approaches are used. In a (p/M)-expansion, all leading order relativistic $\pi$-exchange contributions consistent with the Bonn OBEPQ model are included. In addition, static heavy meson exchange currents including boost terms, $\gamma\pi\rho/\omega$-currents, and $\Delta$-isobar contributions are considered. Sizeable effects from the various relativistic two-body contributions, mainly from $\pi$-exchange, have been found in inclusive form fact…
Initial State Radiation Measurements at BESIII
2019
Precision measurements of the hadronic cross sections e+ e−→ π+ π− , π+π−π0, π+π−2π0, ωπ0 and π+π−3π0 are performed at the BESIII experiment located in Beijing, China. These cross section measurements are needed as input for the Standard Model prediction of the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon, (g − 2)µ.The initial state radiation method is used to access the energy regions of interest for (g − 2)µ. Our results will improve the precision of the Standard Model prediction of (g − 2)µ .
Precision thrust cumulant moments atN3LL
2012
We consider cumulant moments (cumulants) of the thrust distribution using predictions of the full spectrum for thrust including O(alpha_s^3) fixed order results, resummation of singular N^3LL logarithmic contributions, and a class of leading power corrections in a renormalon-free scheme. From a global fit to the first thrust moment we extract the strong coupling and the leading power correction matrix element Omega_1. We obtain alpha_s(m_Z) = 0.1141 \pm (0.0004)_exp \pm (0.0014)_hadr \pm (0.0007)_pert, where the 1-sigma uncertainties are experimental, from hadronization (related to Omega_1) and perturbative, respectively, and Omega_1 = 0.372 \pm (0.044)_exp \pm (0.039)_pert GeV. The n-th th…
